Just did a wild adventure across Taipei, New Taipei City, and Qujing that’s heavy on nature, animals, and active fun 🚴♀️🦜! Biggest highlight? The panda house at Taipei Zoo—so freaking cute, plus the whole zoo makes it easy to organize your visit, so you don’t miss the best spots.
Top Spots to Visit in Taipei & New Taipei City:
Taipei Bird World (No. 30號, Sec. 2, Xinguang Rd, Wenshan Dist) is hands-down awesome if you love birds—open every day 9:00–16:30, so you can swing by anytime.
Taipei Zoo Giant Panda House (same address as above, open 09:10–17:10) is a must: pandas, easy-to-follow signs, and loads of info! Pro tip: Start with the Giant Panda House, then venture out to the rest of the zoo for max efficiency. Get there early to beat the crowds.
Qingxi Greens (Zhengda 1st St, Wenshan Dist) is open 24/7—perfect for wandering or a fresh morning walk.
Bojia Sports Park (No. 16號, Lane 159, Sec. 4, Muzha Rd) is great for active travelers—open 05:30–21:30 except Mondays. Totally recommend for jogging or tai chi.
Jingmei River Bikeway (No. 50, Sec. 4, Xinglong Rd) is your go-to route for cycling—open all day, zero hassle, right by the river.
Getting Around: Taipei’s metro is reliable and will take you near most of these spots. Use trip.com for transport tips, ticket deals, and advance planning for smooth travels.
Food: Try local eats at Taipei Zoo or grab street snacks near Qingxi Greens—think bubble tea, scallion pancakes, or fresh fruit.
Extra Taipei tips: Always carry coins for smaller snack stalls, stay hydrated, and respect the opening hours—some parks close on Mondays!
