Take advantage of the gentle autumn breeze 🌬️ and come to Tengchong Ginkgo Village to enjoy a romantic feast of 30,000 ginkgo trees.
The most beautiful autumn in Yunnan is about to arrive. Every November, warm sunlight shines into the eaves of ancient village houses and falls on country paths. Strolling through Tengchong Ginkgo Village, as far as the eye can see, yellow leaves cover the ground, light and shadow dappled. Here, 30,000 ginkgo trees brew a grand golden spectacle. From pale yellow to brilliant to fallen, every step is a poem written by time.
📸 Best Photo Spot
📍 [Ginkgo Village Viewing Platform]
An excellent vantage point overlooking the entire golden sea! Located at Baxin Moon Terrace, Ginkgo Village, Gudong Town, Tengchong City, Baoshan. It is recommended to visit early morning or late afternoon. The ginkgo forest in the morning mist looks like an ink painting, and the leaves glow under the sunset ✨
🍂 Tengchong Ginkgo Viewing Period
Pale Yellow Phase | Late October
Better Viewing Phase | Mid-November
Best Viewing Phase | Late November to Early December
🔥 Insider Tips
1️⃣ Light and Shadow Art: Bring an oil-paper umbrella as a prop. Sunlight filtering through the ginkgo leaves casts mottled light spots on the umbrella surface, perfect for photos.
2️⃣ Fallen Leaf Map: After mid-November, the ground will be covered with thick ginkgo leaves. Avoid main roads and walk into small alleys to find "golden carpets" that haven’t been stepped on.
3️⃣ Ancient Village Flavors: Buy freshly roasted ginkgo nuts from farmers drying them under the eaves. For 5 yuan, you can get a big bag. The nuts are glutinous, slightly bitter, and addictive.
🌡️ Dressing Guide
✅ Big temperature difference during the day! Onion-style dressing is recommended: thin sweater + windbreaker
✅ Light-colored clothes match the autumn scenery better; Hanfu or forest-style outfits are perfect for social media
✅ Non-slip shoes! Stone paths covered with fallen leaves can be slippery
💡 Travel Tips
🚗 About 1.5 hours’ drive from Tengchong city center. Navigate to "Baxin Moon Terrace" where there is parking.
📅 Best viewing period is mid-November to early December; it can be crowded during the Ginkgo Festival.
🍂 Avoid shooting in strong midday light; the side backlight from 3 to 5 pm is the gentlest.
