Located right across from Senso-ji Temple's Kaminarimon Gate, the Asakusa Culture and Tourism Center features a free observation deck on the 8th floor. From here, you can enjoy views of Kaminarimon Gate, the Five-Storied Pagoda, and Nakamise Shopping Street. The center also offers travel consultation services in four languages and provides tourism brochures for visitors.

Transportation Tips: Take the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, Toei Asakusa Line, Tobu Isesaki Line, or Tsukuba Express Line to "Asakusa Station." The center is situated directly opposite Kaminarimon Gate.

Designed by renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, the center was completed and opened in 2012. Its architectural style incorporates local Asakusa culture, with a glass curtain wall that reflects the sky's colors and allows natural light to enter the interior. The eight-story multifunctional building combines tourism consultation services, cultural activities, and an observation deck.

While floors 3–5 are reserved for private meeting rooms and not open to the public, other floors are accessible to visitors. The first and second floors house the tourism information area, while the sixth and seventh floors serve as multifunctional spaces and exhibition areas. The eighth floor features the Asakusa Observation Deck. On the first floor, you'll find the travel consultation service center, offering multilingual support in Japanese, Chinese, English, and Korean. The center also provides free Wi-Fi, charging stations, and luggage storage services, making it a convenient stop for resting, cooling off, or recharging during your trip. The second floor has a large glass observation area where you can admire Kaminarimon Gate, and it also includes a nursing room. Visitors can take the elevator from the first floor to the 8th-floor observation deck, though queues can be long, requiring some patience. Upon reaching the 8th floor, you'll be greeted with a direct view of Senso-ji Temple and Tokyo Skytree in the distance. In addition to the free observation area, the 8th floor also houses a scenic café where you can enjoy views of Senso-ji Temple. However, seating is limited, especially on weekends. While the observation deck is often crowded, visitors tend not to linger for long. You can also move to the second-floor observation area to watch the bustling crowds and rickshaws in front of Kaminarimon Gate, which is quite entertaining.
