Are you always stuck in the crowds at Senso-ji Temple or Nakamise? I recommend a vantage point for stunning views of Senso-ji Temple: the Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center.
This free attraction offers an elevator to the eighth floor. From the observation deck or the adjacent cafe, you can enjoy a panoramic bird's-eye view from Kaminarimon Gate to the five-story pagoda. You can also get a peek at Tokyo Skytree and the Asahi Beer Building from a different angle – the views are truly breathtaking.
Don't rush to leave after your visit; we recommend taking the outdoor stairs to the seventh floor, where you'll find the tourist center, which includes a comprehensive guide to all the sento in Taito. Hot spring lovers will love this place, with information on everything from location to history to price. Even though I'm a hot spring lover, I've only visited three, and there are over ten more I haven't experienced yet.
The seventh floor also features a scale model of the surrounding area, centered around Tokyo Skytree. Made of wood, it evokes a distinct Edo-style atmosphere.
