Yoyogi Park 代々木公園

#tokyospots
I often travel for work, and I try to find a large park in every major city to recalibrate. Yoyogi Park on a weekday morning is a completely different world from its weekend persona. On a Tuesday, it’s remarkably quiet, offering a true moment of escape. The large, central fountain is beautiful and soothing, and the only sounds you hear are the leaves rustling and the distant, muffled hum of the city. I spent an hour reading by the pond, watching the local residents walk their dogs and elderly people exercising gently. This is the side of Yoyogi that offers genuine peace. If you want a contemplative walk, the weekday is the time to go. The air is fresh, the paths are clear, and the feeling of having this massive, beautiful space largely to yourself is an unforgettable, restorative luxury in the world's largest city.
