The Best Hot Spring Hotel in Japan! A Full Review of Nishimuraya Honkan in Kinosaki

I always look forward to staying at hot spring hotels when traveling in Japan, and Nishimuraya Honkan in Kinosaki Onsen has raised my expectations for hot spring hotels.

🚪 When I arrived at the hotel, I was immediately drawn to the wooden exterior and traditional Japanese architecture. It was quaint, simple, and elegant. As I stepped through the door, I was greeted by a beautiful Japanese rock garden in the courtyard. The white sand and unique stone formations were complemented by perfectly pruned pine trees, creating a Zen-like atmosphere. Walking through the courtyard, listening to the sound of flowing water, I felt instantly relaxed.

🛏 The room was a perfect example of Japanese style. The tatami mats were clean and tidy, the bed was soft and comfortable, and the wooden furniture gave off a faint woody scent. A small tea set was placed by the bed, and I couldn't wait to make a cup of hot tea and sit by the window, enjoying the view of the courtyard. The paper sliding doors let in plenty of light, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere.

💧 The hot spring experience was exceptional. The water was crystal clear and rich in minerals, leaving my skin feeling smooth and soft. The indoor hot spring was spacious and well-equipped, while the outdoor hot spring was surrounded by greenery, offering great privacy. Soaking in the hot spring, breathing in the fresh air, and listening to the birds chirping, I felt at one with nature. At night, I could even see the starry sky while soaking in the hot spring, which was truly enjoyable.

🍱 The food was another highlight. The kaiseki dinner was like a work of art, with beautifully presented dishes made from fresh ingredients. The sashimi was tender and melted in my mouth, while the simmered wagyu beef was rich and flavorful. Every bite was a delight. Breakfast was a hearty Japanese set meal, with steaming miso soup, soft and sticky rice, and a variety of side dishes to start the day with energy.

💁‍♀️ The service was impeccable. From the warm welcome at the front desk to the attentive service during my stay, the staff were always smiling and ready to help. When I asked about nearby attractions, they not only gave me detailed information but also helped me plan my route, which was very heartwarming.

My stay at Nishimuraya Honkan in Kinosaki Onsen was an unforgettable experience. It perfectly combines traditional Japanese style with comfort, offering the best in hot springs, food, and service.
