Weihai Coastal Cycling and Scooter Rental Guide (Electric Scooters)

Traveling to Weihai during the Dragon Boat Festival, I came across the option to rent electric scooters while planning the trip. I saw many recommendations and had a lot of concerns and hesitation at first, but in the end, I rented electric scooters for two days and was really happy. Here is a pure sharing!

DAY 1: Near Weigao Square
Shop Name: Yufeng New Electric Scooter Rental
Since it was during the Dragon Boat Festival, the price was 60 RMB per scooter. Our planned route was to the "Maotou Mountain" scenic spot. The shop recommended one scooter per person because there is a long downhill and quite winding road near Maotou Mountain.
In the end, we followed the shop’s advice and bargained the price down to 50 RMB per person, no deposit required. The shop promised that minor bumps and scrapes would not require compensation.
PS: You need to send a photo of your ID card to the shop, and you can exchange the scooter between 9:00-9:30 PM.

DAY 2: First went to Han Lefang to eat chocolate seafood, rented the scooter near the high-speed rail station.
It’s a quite famous seafood chain restaurant. The photo wall in the restaurant has many celebrities I like who have eaten there. The seafood is very fresh and affordable. The seafood crispy rice porridge, sea urchin dumplings, sea intestine rice, steamed seafood, oil-fried shrimp, and potstickers are all delicious.

Shop Name: New Electric Scooter Rental
After the holiday, the price was 39.9 RMB per day. Since the route was smooth, two of us rented one scooter.
PS: Sesame Credit deposit waiver is required; an Alipay score of 550 or above is enough!
Advantages: This shop has three chain stores, and you can return or rent scooters at any of them:
High-Speed Rail Station Store, Weigao Square Store, Seawater Bathing Beach Store
We successfully returned the scooter at Weigao Square in the end.

The maximum speed is 25 km/h. It is not recommended for people without cycling experience to rent.
Weihai is really beautiful. Riding a scooter to travel is very comfortable, and the coastline is very long. It’s a wonderful memory. This trip was free of any mishaps, and I was really happy.
