Kalbarri National Park – Nature’s Masterpiece in Western Australia

#holidayitinerary Kalbarri National Park totally surprised us. You’ve got these epic red rock gorges inland and then dramatic coastal cliffs just a short drive away, best of both worlds. We started with Nature’s Window, which is this natural rock arch looking out over the Murchison River. Super easy walk and insanely pretty, especially early in the morning. The Z Bend lookout was another stunner and a bit more of a workout, but still not too hard.
On the coast side, the Kalbarri Skywalk is wild — you’re standing out over the gorge with huge drop-offs below. Definitely not for anyone scared of heights, but the views are unreal. There’s also the Loop Trail for keen hikers, but bring lots of water because it gets hot.
Facilities are decent with toilets, info signs, and shaded areas at the main sites. No food inside the park, so pack snacks and drinks. If you're road tripping up the Coral Coast, Kalbarri is a must. So many good walks, great views, and a mix of chill and adventure.
