Visiting the Terracotta Army was like stepping into a time capsule. Thousands of life-sized soldiers, horses, and chariots still stand guard over Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s tomb—each one uniquely detailed and incredibly well-preserved. It’s truly one of the most awe-inspiring sights in China.

Start with Pit 1—the largest and most breathtaking and work your way to the smaller pits. The attached museum is worth exploring too, especially the stunning bronze chariots.
