Stay at Xiangwang Homestay near Dongguan Alley! Full of the ancient charm of Slender West Lake

After spending a few days in Yangzhou, I stayed at this homestay šŸ“Huazhu惻Yangzhou Xiangwang Aesthetic Homestay

It’s right next to Dongguan Street. Just walk 100 meters through the alley outside the door to reach Dongguan Street, which is full of delicious food—super convenient for eating and strolling around~ Ge Garden is right nearby, and Slender West Lake, He Garden, and Pishi Street are also around. You don’t need to take a detour to visit these attractions! It’s not far to take a taxi from Yangzhou East Station either. Turn left when you go out, and you’re on Dongguan Street. It’s very close to Shuangdong Hotel for authentic Yangzhou cuisine, and also close to Fuchun or Yechun for morning tea. No need to rush every day, just relax and enjoy the slow pace~

The homestay’s design is full of the charm of Yangzhou’s ancient city! šŸ® Window grids, horse-head walls, and other elements are all incorporated, giving a traditional cultural feel without seeming old-fashioned. Every corner is aesthetically pleasing~ My room was on the top floor with a very high ceiling, so it didn’t feel cramped at all! There’s also a terrace nearby. Just imagine having snacks, drinking coffee made by the owner, chatting, and enjoying the breeze here in spring or autumn—it must be super cozy~ The room has a windowsill where I sat every day to bask in the sun and drink the free handmade coffee (choose between Americano or latte!) ā˜•, making life feel slower and more relaxed~

The owner is as warm as family! šŸ‘« When I visited in the hot summer, the owner called ahead to ask my arrival time, sent detailed directions, and even turned on the air conditioning in advance. As soon as I entered, it was cool and refreshing, instantly driving away the heat~ There’s no elevator in the homestay, but the owner helped carry my big suitcase up and down the stairs—so thoughtful! The room was cleaned thoroughly every day, and there’s a laundry room where you can wash and dry clothes, so you can stay comfortable even when away from home~

The check-in perks were also a pleasant surprise! šŸŽ Every day there’s free handmade coffee inside the store, Americano or latte, your choice. Having a cup in the morning keeps you energized all day~ The owner is also great at recommendations! Not only did they plan out travel routes for us, but they recommended Yechun for morning tea, which has a great environment and delicious tea. They also suggested a tea garden near He Garden, which is especially relaxing to visit~ They even told us about the affordable local breakfast spot Maopailou on Guangling Road, which is super convenient for a stroll after eating, and it was a total hit!

During my stay here, I truly experienced the slow life of Yangzhou’s ancient city~ Away from the urban hustle and bustle, I strolled around Ge Garden and Slender West Lake during the day, watched the moonlight spill into the alleys at night, and returned to the homestay to have a cup of coffee and chat. It was so healing~ Plus, the cost-performance ratio is excellent. Whether it’s transportation, service, or environment, there’s nothing to complain about!

Next time I come to Yangzhou, I will definitely choose this place again! Here, you can find your own peace and beauty~ šŸ’–
