Okinawa · Cape Zanpa! The Most Beautiful Shade of Blue in the Ryukyu Islands

🌊 Truly a must-visit landmark in Okinawa! The cape at Cape Zanpa is absolutely stunning~

📍Address: Uza, Yomitan Village, Nakagami District, Okinawa Prefecture

🐉 Ryukyu History: The statue is of Taiki, a member of the Ryukyu royal family from the 15th century~ This important figure was the younger brother of the Ryukyu king at the time and represented Ryukyu in China five times during the Ming Dynasty. The direction he points to with his outstretched finger is China!

✈️ WWII History: In the late stages of World War II, the US Air Force used the white lighthouse on Cape Zanpa as a navigation target during the Battle of Okinawa!

📸 Photo Tips:
1. Recommended to visit in the afternoon! Best to experience both daylight and sunset views.
2. This is not a beach, so floral clothes don’t really match.
3. Any shot along the coastal trail will look like a masterpiece.

🌞 Opening Hours: Open all day.

📝 Important Tips:
Be sure to wear non-slip shoes, as the ground is covered with hard coral rocks. Avoid falling or getting hurt.

🥰 If you’re visiting Okinawa, don’t miss this off-the-beaten-path spot! The powerful history combined with breathtaking sea views will leave you deeply satisfied!
