Weekend staycation in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai: stay in a mountain homestay and soak in a private hot spring

This autumn arrived particularly late this year, and the autumn atmosphere in the mountains is richer than in the city. Taking advantage of the weekend, we escaped the city with Cream and drove 3.5 hours from Taizhou to the secret Huangsha area in Zhoushan to seek the shadows of autumn🍂
🏠 This trip, we stayed at "Year Ring Park · Fei Island," a homestay located halfway up the mountain. It was renovated from old village houses, each with a different layout design. We chose Building 8, Whale Whisper, which has a private courtyard and a private hot spring♨️. Before check-in, the housekeeper had already arranged the services👗, making it convenient for us to contact anytime.
Since it happened to rain☔️ when we arrived, the kids couldn’t play outdoors. The thoughtful housekeeper arranged a cotton candy-making activity for us. It was Cream’s first time watching cotton candy being made, and she found it very fascinating😋
After a while, when the rain stopped, we took Cream for a leisurely stroll along the path to the bakery: Fanfan Bakery🥐🥨🥯
We arrived too late, so there weren’t many bread options left. We casually bought a pork jerky and almond croissant🥐. The kids could also doodle on soda bottles in the store.
🥣 Dinner was at "Yanling Restaurant."
This restaurant’s dishes are quite similar in flavor to our Taizhou cuisine. The sweet and sour ribs are the kids’ favorite; they ate quietly with the sauce and rice.
Before dinner, we arranged with the housekeeper to soak in the private hot spring~ The hot spring is located in the private courtyard behind our room, with great privacy. When we finished dinner and returned to the room, the housekeeper had already prepared everything with the water ready. Leisurely soaking with my daughter, sinking into the gentle 42℃ warmth, all worries melted away in the warm flow~

▫️ Although it’s already autumn, since the homestay is in the mountains, be sure to watch out for mosquitoes and insects.
▫️ The temperature difference between day and night in the mountains is large, so remember to bring a light jacket.
▫️ The homestay has its own parking lot🅿️. You can reach it directly by following navigation instructions. Contact the housekeeper in advance, and someone will come to pick you up.
▫️ The homestay is a bit far from the city center, and delivery services are not very convenient, so it’s recommended to bring some snacks and drinks before traveling.
