Over the past two years, my elementary school students have been increasingly interested in the Forbidden City, having watched seasons one, two, and three of the television series "New Forbidden City." They've been asking to visit both the Forbidden City and Prince Gong's Mansion. Interest is a good thing, and parents will do their best to accommodate their needs, so the Forbidden City is a key focus of this study tour. So, let's enjoy "Forbidden City, Here I Come!"
Life requires an eye for beauty. When you stand before the Forbidden City and explore its history, you'll be captivated by the architectural charm and the unparalleled beauty of its treasures. The beauty is breathtaking, leaving you wanting to linger. I was especially lucky to have a nice photo opportunity to capture my steps and my feelings.
For half a day, following the guide's explanations, I gained a deep understanding of the historical allusions and cultural relics. I traversed most of the Forbidden City, snapping over 700 photos. Sometimes, to get a satisfying shot, I had to wait for the crowds to disperse under the scorching sun. To give the national treasures a unique display, I politely waited for the elderly and children to finish admiring them, taking every opportunity to snap photos with swift eyes and hands. Haha, I finally understand why professional photographers are so heavily armored and have such dark skin. Time constraints prevented me from joining you in photographing the magnificent golden dragon. With such a busy schedule, I've rarely had the time to calm down and organize my work. I can't rush or skimp on it, but I'll do it with all my heart. Looking back today, the scenes are so moving and vivid, and it was a worthwhile trip.
The above highlights the magnificent palace architecture.
Next, we will focus on the exquisite jewels and gems in the Treasure House.
After the Wannian Ruyi, there are a variety of lifelike jade carvings and exquisite porcelain.
These are all close-up photos I took individually, seizing every opportunity. Many tourists are deeply captivated and reluctant to leave. I wait and wait, always having a second to myself.
There's always a treasure that will captivate you, the more you look at it, the more you appreciate it, and it will captivate you deeply.
Then, the Clock and Watch Museum showcases a diverse collection of exquisite timepieces, each one a masterpiece of art.
While admiring these exquisite pieces, let us cherish time, treasure beauty, and cherish every moment we take.
Enter the Imperial Garden and experience the leisure style of the palace
We took the bus and rode a bicycle to visit Prince Gong's Mansion.
As I hurried along, snapping photos non-stop, I've even created a vivid and unforgettable summer diary for an elementary school student. (I've captured so many detailed photos for you, feel free to look back and revisit them.) Gradually, you'll understand why I broke away from the tour guides, why I took so many steps and got so tanned, and why I discovered so much. To gain, there's nothing better than reading thousands of books and traveling thousands of miles—one with your eyes, the other with your feet, and equally with your heart. Reading and experience complement each other, connecting theory with practice. As a young person, you need to accumulate knowledge, reflect, and be attentive.
I'd also like to thank all my readers. Your persistence to the end demonstrates your patience and may even be intriguing. I express my respect and gratitude, and please feel free to share your insights. Sharing is the key to improvement!
Modern life is so busy and impetuous, and I've completely forgotten the prose skills I developed back then. I need to read and learn more, or I'll run out of ideas and have no idea where to start my future travelogues.
This is the end of "First Impression of the Forbidden City". I will carefully organize the next episode when I have time.
