When it comes to traveling in Beijing, there are several attractions you've definitely heard of, even if you haven't been. The Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, the Temple of Heaven, and the Ming Tombs... These are generally the top three. But the Forbidden City is so popular, there's so much to see and explore, and to really see it all, you'd need to spend a day exploring it. The Great Wall is also a must-see, but it's located far away in Yanqing District, 70 or 80 kilometers from Beijing. The Summer Palace is said to be beautiful and vast. However, I heard that without a guide, it's just a big park—not much to write home about.

A friend recommended a great travel agency, "Basida," to me a few days ago. They offer a one-day tour of the Great Wall and the Summer Palace, and it includes entrance fees and a guide. That's perfect! I'm looking for a worry-free, no-brainer travel guide or guidebook experience. My friend understands me perfectly. We made reservations the night before, and we were off the next day.

7:30 AM Depart for Badaling Great Wall Attraction

Distance: Approximately 70 kilometers; Driving Time: Approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes; Activity Duration: Approximately 4 hours;

"One is not a true man if he hasn't visited the Great Wall." Badaling is a symbol of the Chinese national spirit and a must-see for heads of state, leaders, and dignitaries visiting China. Climbing Badaling, you'll see the wall undulating and winding along the mountainside, like a giant, endless dragon tumbling across the rolling hills. It's a majestic sight.

We arrived at the subway station at the meeting point our tour guide had given us the night before, and our guide greeted us with a sign as we exited. Along the way, our guide diligently explained Beijing and the Great Wall, and was quite humorous. We bought round-trip cable car tickets on the bus for 140 yuan, which seemed cheaper than buying them at the scenic area. After getting off the bus, the children started to have fun and went straight to Haohanpo.

12:00 Noon

Since I took the cable car, I didn't feel very tired, but I was hungry. There's a food court on Badaling Commercial Street with a lot of food.
They all looked pretty good. I remember when I came here right after graduation, there were really few restaurants, and the food was expensive and terrible. This time, I listened to my child's request to try beef noodles, and we were pleasantly surprised! The owner told us that there's a discount for customers who come to Basda. Great!

The last stop is the Olympic venues.

17:20 Depart for the following attractions: Bird's Nest (National Stadium) exterior and Water Cube (National Aquatics Center) exterior

Distance: Approximately 46 km; Driving time: Approximately 50 minutes; Activity time: Free and easy, no time limit

The night view is very beautiful
