On the first floor of the Huaxing Building, nestled in an ordinary alleyway called Guangyi Street in Beijing, lies a rather unassuming space. A few unadorned white, rounded characters emblazoned against a pale green wall read: "Guangyi + Guangnei Citizens Cultural Center." While seemingly unassuming, this is a delightful cultural paradise serving the general public and ordinary citizens.
Guangyi + Gate
Recently, this reporter visited this location for field research, strongly recommended by fellow Central American traveler Zhu Fengxia. He experienced firsthand the wonderful enjoyment of this space where ordinary people can participate in a variety of activities. Upon entering the "Guang Yi +" space through its glass doors, one is immediately greeted by a truly unique scene: a world of its own. Its distinct layers and vibrant colors create a striking atmosphere. 
Expert Display Wall
First, I passed a narrow display wall. It featured photos and biographies of experts and scholars from various fields who have given lectures on science, culture, education, and art at the "Community Cultural Construction Expert Advisory Group." Many of these experts are well-known figures.

Passing through the expert exhibition wall, one arrives at a spacious exhibition hall. Colorful "Guangyi+" event previews adorning the walls complement vivid news photos of ongoing events. This alone gives one a glimpse into the vibrant atmosphere of this venue.

When asked about the meaning of the "Guangyi+" name, Wang Gang, the event planning director of Guangyi+, who accompanied the reporter on the tour, explained: "The sea embraces all rivers, and art and beauty are universal. Art originates from life and even more from our surroundings. We strive to gather the beautiful atmosphere of art and to exude an elegant cultural atmosphere in the name of family. This is the meaning of "Guangyi+."
Lecture Program Overview
"Guangyi+" is more than just a cultural center and a cozy home where ordinary citizens can enjoy trendy art. It is also a public cultural service platform that continuously elevates aesthetic education in line with the times! We at Guangyi+ aspire to become a public space for lifelong learning for all citizens. Dance Rehearsal
Continuing through the exhibition hall, the reporter toured the two-story activity space, spanning over 1,600 square meters. The diverse and well-equipped classrooms were astonishing. For example, yoga studios, dance studios, and fitness areas offer opportunities for exercise enthusiasts to enjoy workouts under the guidance of professional instructors. Coincidentally, in the dance studio that day, the reporter happened to see some middle-aged and elderly dance enthusiasts happily rehearsing, most of them beaming with joy.

The "Guangyi+" small theater always has exciting performances not to be missed. Its professional lighting and audio-visual equipment meet the needs of various theatrical performances. Small concerts, dramas, plays, crosstalk, film screenings and other activities are always popular among the local residents.

Particularly worth mentioning is the gathering of renowned scholars, who personally lecture on Chinese classics and recite speeches, allowing everyone to inherit the classics and experience the charm of culture; the creative cultural design allows everyone to explore culture together, innovate through art and design, and create a unique cultural brand with cultural creativity.

Throughout the year, over 100 exciting events across six categories are offered. Community cultural development experts and advisory staff lead the way in exploring a vast ocean of art. Here, we bid farewell to the hustle and bustle of the city, seek spiritual enrichment, integrate art into our lives, and fill our hearts with joy.

Du Xiaojie, a member of the Beijing Youth Federation and director of the Guangyi + Guangnei Citizen Cultural Center, told reporters that during festivals and holidays, the venue is incredibly lively. At the event, outstanding teachers from fields such as science, art, Chinese studies, and culture presented exciting social practice course demonstrations. There were also interactive areas featuring traditional intangible cultural heritage craftsmen performing seal carving, printmaking, lacquer carving, hand-painting, paper cutting, and casting. The rich content and diverse forms of the activities attracted many residents to check in and experience the activities.
Enjoyable parent-child activities
In addition, we have parent-child activity areas, picture book reading areas, and shared activity islands, providing playmates for children to socialize and keep them from feeling lonely. We also offer enlightening science lectures and intellectually stimulating art workshops, allowing children to develop their hands-on skills through play. Furthermore, we also offer a variety of volunteer services, bringing together volunteers to deliver engaging public welfare lectures and carry out various meaningful volunteer activities.

In the field of social practice, our "Guangyi+" teacher Wang Gang, as a representative, participated in the design of five major types of curriculum concepts: art, science, literature, sports, and social practice. In particular, in social practice activities, we let children grow through experience and cultivate their interest in special activities.

During the event, teachers of science courses displayed insect specimens and live insects, led children to experience and touch insects, and carried out science popularization activities about insects. Together, they explored the mysterious world of insects and discovered interesting natural knowledge. The complete nature education curriculum system attracted parents to stop and give thumbs up.
Opera Lecture
Cultural teachers, through a variety of reading materials and interesting parent-child activities, enlighten parents on the parent-child relationship of pregnancy-rearing-education-transformation, and help children develop positive personality traits such as self-confidence, independence, and optimism, thereby greatly enhancing children's internal motivation.
Guang Yi+ Field Trip
In my opinion, Beijing's "Guang Yi+" Guangnei Citizen Cultural Center is open to all members of society. Whether children, students, young people, or the elderly, everyone who comes here can enjoy a happy space for activities.
