Walking into Beigong Park

Along the right hand side of the clear water bank, walking deep into the garden is soon the Medicine King Immortal Residence, the path here begins to go up slowly, and gradually people will start climbing along the path. After passing through a wooden bridge and coming to the Medicine King Valley, there is a statue in the distance, and when I came closer, it turned out to be a statue of Mr. Sun Simiao, the Medicine King. I remember not discovering this landscape last time I came.

There are layered rocks in front of the stone statue, and the current stream in Yaowang Valley is relatively rare and close to dry. It is a narrow road down the slope from the right side of the Sun Simiao statue. Looking north, I found one or two fiery red torch trees on the right side of the road, and an ebony-roofed pavilion behind the left side. The colors and scenery are very similar to autumn in Beijing.

It is said that the forest park in front of you used to be just an abandoned mine. It is located in a large ash factory, which is a place to produce white ash. Since the Ming Dynasty, most of the white ash in the capital has come from here. The mountain people have been mining mountain rocks for hundreds of years, and the smoke and dust are everywhere. The mountains were exposed, the rivers dried up, and the vegetation was destroyed.

The natural environment has seriously deteriorated and has even become one of the sources of environmental pollution in Beijing. Later, in order to restore the nature and beauty of the mountains and rivers, he began to green the environment, carry out planning and design, and built today's Beigong National Forest Park.

The guide map of the scenic spot in the garden shows that there is a tomb of the prince of Rongke, which is a feng shui treasure land. It turns out that this place also has a history. The prince of Rongke was named Mianyi, the son of Qianlong's fifth prince Yongqi. "Ke" is his posthumous name. Yongqi was intelligent since he was a child, both civil and military, and was deeply loved by Emperor Qianlong, but unfortunately he died young, and his son Mianyi was only two years old when he died. Mianyi inherited his father's talent. In November of the forty-ninth year of Qianlong, Mianyi, as the grandson of the emperor, was enfeoffed by Qianlong as Dorobelle. In the first month of the fourth year of Jiaqing, Jiaqing issued an edict to make him the Prince of Duorong.

According to the recollections of Mianyi's descendants, in the ninth year of Jiaqing (1804), the King of Rongke ordered people to visit the cemetery, and Mr. Feng Shui said: "The place is auspicious!" ”。 At that time, this land belonged to Zhang Pengling in Xining Prefecture, Qingjiang Province, covering an area of ten acres, called Cherry Orchard. So Mianyi exchanged 4 hectares and 54 acres of land and 20 rooms in Xiaodongge in Tong County with Zhang Pengling.

The construction of the park began that year. By the time of the death of the prince in the twentieth year of Jiaqing (1815), the project had gone through more than ten years and had not yet been completed. During the construction project, the cherry orchard has formed a large construction site. There was also a construction site in the south at that time. Locals call the status of Nangong "Nangongshang" and the cherry orchard construction site "Beigongshang". Later, it was abbreviated as "Beigong" by "Beigong", and later written as "Beigong".

Beigong National Forest Park is located around the highest peak in Fengtai District, the junction of the North China Plain and the Taihang Mountains, and has the characteristics of the topography of the Taihang Mountains. In addition to the Bliss Peak, Beigong Park is mainly composed of many scenic spots such as the main peak of Langpo Peak, Dongling Rising Sun, Xinglong Valley, Xiaojiangnan, Taigong Pool, and ancient stone bridge. Little Jiangnan is located not far from the entrance of the south gate of the park. The lake area here is 16,308 square meters, with small bridges, platforms, barge paths and winding roads by the lake, and green trees, where tourists can fish and rest, as if they have traveled through time and space, bringing people to the beautiful Jiangnan water town.

The altitude of the main peak of the top of the corridor is 348 meters, the main peak is the sunny slope of Bauhinia Mountain, the current situation is a well-growing wattle, 2 to 3 meters high, due to the steepness of the mountain, the wattle can play a good role in soil and water conservation. Every spring, when the wattle flowers bloom, it is a good place for sightseeing, and the bauhinia flower is also a good honey plant, and it has become a characteristic product of the park; On the south side of the ridge, there is a companion pavilion, where you can see the "colorful clouds" on Bauhinia Mountain up close, and you can see the fruitful autumn fruit garden and the green mountains on the top of the corridor slope from a distance, which is a rare viewing place.

Xinglong Valley is more than 600 meters long, 2-15 meters wide, and 1.5-4 meters deep, and the streams in the valley are gurgling, like swimming dragons, winding down for hundreds of meters.
