You're not a true man if you haven't visited the Great Wall, and you'd be remiss not to visit Badaling! The Great Wall is a must-see attraction in Beijing, and Badaling, a prominent example of the Great Wall, is a world-renowned tourist destination and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Its majestic and precipitous landscape and breathtaking beauty surpass all other Great Wall scenic areas in Beijing. Resembling a giant dragon, the Badaling Great Wall coils amidst the mountains, a testament to the hard work of ancient Chinese laborers, a symbol of ancient Chinese culture, and the pride of the Chinese nation.

☆About the Towers

The Badaling Great Wall is divided into two sections, north and south, by the Fortress Gate. The northern section is the highlight of the Badaling Great Wall, stretching approximately 3,000 meters from the Fortress Gate to the North Twelve Tower. The North Seventh and North Eighth Towers are the most crowded. The North Eighth Tower is the commanding height at the northern end. Beyond this point, the Great Wall turns southeast again, heading towards Qinglong Bridge. The steep section of the North Ninth Tower is quite difficult to navigate. The North Twelfth Tower marks the boundary of the scenic area and is also the least visited area of Badaling. For those traveling with elderly or children, we recommend taking the cable car up and down. After disembarking, you'll reach the North Seventh Tower. A further climb leads to the highest North Eighth Tower, where Haohanpo (Brave Man's Slope) is located.

The southern section is shorter, approximately 1,300 meters, with the Central South Fourth Tower serving as the commanding height. Upon reaching the South Seventh Tower, the enemy towers are sealed, marking the end of the scenic route. However, the Great Wall beyond the enemy towers remains well-maintained, winding southward to an unknown destination.

☆Check-in point
