South of Caiyun has always been a place I yearn for. From March 8 to March 21, 2021, we started the first journey of our self-driving tour in Yunnan. Before departure, we made sufficient preparations for this trip. The destination was selected, and the specific itinerary was finally determined: direct flight to Kunming, then rent a car, the route is: Airport - Yuanmou - Dongchuan - Yiliang - Luoping - Bamei - Puzhehei - Yuanyang - Jianshui - Fuxian Lake - Kunming - Airport.

Book air tickets, hotels, and cars, everything is done online. Just wait to go.

1. At

around

11 noon on March 8, the flight landed successfully at Kunming Changshui Airport. I called the car rental company, and after a while, the car arrived at the terminal, picked us up at the car rental company (right next to the airport), signed the contract, looked at the car, and then started driving. Our first stop is Yuanmou. The advantage of this arrangement is that there is no need to enter Kunming twice.

Kunming Changshui Airport is about 190 kilometers from Yuanmou. The whole journey was high-speed, a little over two hours, and at more than three o'clock in the afternoon, I arrived at the booked hotel. After a short rest, we went to the Wumao Tulin Scenic Area. The scenic spot is more than 20 kilometers away from the county seat. The best way to visit: take the scenic battery car to the top of the mountain, and then walk all the way to the exit of the mountain. The dense soil forest is similar to Bryce National Park in the United States, but the momentum is not so big and the color is not so red. The best time is at dusk at sunset. Unfortunately, we were a little weaker that day. Two hours of tour time is enough.

There are three forests in Yunnan: stone forest, soil forest, and sand forest. It feels like one forest is not as good as one forest. We will pass by sarin, so don't look at it.

2. Dongchuan

is about 200 kilometers from Yuanmou to Dongchuan red land. Among them, 170 kilometers of highways are very good, getting off the highway, and the road up the mountain is poor. Arrive at Score Hollow at noon. There are many B&Bs in Music Hollow, and there are several hotels. I found a restaurant for lunch. Then the tour begins.

The beautiful places are Jinxiu Garden, Colorful Slope, and Luoxia Gully. Colorful Slope has to go down from the parking lot, there is no sign, and it is easy to deviate. The sunrise and sunset of Luoxigou are very beautiful. It is best to choose Luoxigou for accommodation in the red land.

At present, red land is not charged. But now ropeways, parking lots, etc. are being built, and it is estimated that it is not far from becoming a toll scenic spot.

3. Yiliang

The

underground stone forest in Jiuxiang is just a karst cave, but it's not bad. I was impressed by the shade of green gorge, full of greenery and a pool of clear water, but unfortunately the cruise time was too short.

We live at the entrance of the scenic spot. There are many tourists at the attractions, but at six o'clock, there are hardly a few people, and our hotel has more staff than guests. There was only one car in the parking lot of Noda to accompany our car. And I can't see a person at all in a high-rated restaurant found on the Internet! Fortunately, the solicitation pulled us to the farmhouse next to the scenic spot and had a dinner that exceeded our expectations.

Yiliang Cherry Blossom Valley is advertising a lot this year. Unable to withstand the temptation, and mainly along the way, we went for a turn. Sure enough, the roads, parking lots, etc. are well repaired, and it is close to Kunming City, so there are a lot of tourists. It's just that the so-called dozens of cherry blossoms have not been seen. Only the native Yunnan cherry blossoms shine. From an ornamental point of view, it is not as good as Japanese early cherry blossoms.

4. Luo Pin

Luo Ping's rape flowers are one of the highlights of this trip. Luoping's Golden Rooster Peak Cluster, needless to say, the screw field, everyone on earth knows it. It's really beautiful, and we certainly won't miss it. But what I would like to recommend is the rapeseed flower on the street. As long as you are driving, you must go! The road goes around in the mountains, and the rapeseed flowers in Songmao Village, Tutu Village, Gegang and other places are by no means inferior.

Luo Ping arranged two days, and the original plan was to go to the Kowloon Waterfall Group, but because the scenic spot was suspended, it was decided to go to the Duoyi River and the Lubuge Little Three Gorges instead. The road conditions from the county seat to the Duoyi River are extremely poor, with many curves on the mountain road, heavy trucks, and potholes on the road. The Duoyi River Scenic Area is a bit similar to Xiaoqikong, but it is not as exciting and rich as Xiaoqikong. The Lubuge Little Three Gorges has only three boats a day in the off-season. We don't know, but luckily we arrived at about 1:30 p.m., just in time for the 2 o'clock shift. However, the departure was delayed for a full twenty minutes. And the two-hour cruise didn't surprise us – it was just too ordinary. By the way, the road from Lubuge to Luopin County is quite good.

5. Bamei There is no highway from Bamei

Luoping to Bamei. I have to walk from yesterday to the Duoyi River. I drove this 150-kilometer road for nearly three hours, and in addition to many curves and potholes, there was also a section of the road that was very narrow.

After a period of renovation, Dam Mei only reopened in late February this year. We caught up. The parking lot and visitor center are very large, like a standardized ****A-level scenic spot. But a hint of coolness passed through my heart: Will this still be a paradise? Sure enough, later experiences confirmed my concerns. After purchasing the ticket, I first took a battery car for more than eight kilometers in the scenic spot. The road is very new and very good. But it's a little too long. It doesn't seem to be long, sorry for the 180 yuan ticket. After the battery car sat down, the next step was the most anticipated waterway in the cave to enter the village. However, the attitude of the manager on the ship dock is unacceptable: it looks like it cares about it, and as a result, it creates chaos, and the boat becomes a boat robbery, that mess! Although the water cave is unique, I feel bad.

Most of the accommodations in Bamei are in poor condition, and there are not many bathrooms that are separated from dry and wet. Coupled with the inconvenience of access, most tour groups choose to stay in counties dozens of kilometers away. The scenic spot is not big, and it takes about 4 to 5 hours to return to the parking lot after a cycle. There is no need to live in the scenic spot. It's just that it's more rushed.

We stayed in it for a day. It's quite good to go out for a walk in the early morning. The air is fresh and the environment is beautiful. It's just that the tranquility of the paradise has been broken, and I can no longer find the feeling.

There is no turning back when leaving the village. There is still some distance from the inn where we are staying to the pier, and the inn's bounce car only pulls luggage. It takes two boats to get to the parking lot. Between the two boats, there is a scenery pretending to be a small train. It was still too poorly managed, and it took us two hours to get back to the parking lot.

Bamei has become a "Zheng'er Ba Jing" scenic spot. Its characteristics have quietly disappeared. I actually hate this way of traveling. I gave this method a name, called "stylized tourism". Tourists are like products on the assembly line, they have no choice when they arrive at the scenic spot, according to the way provided by the scenic spot,

sixth, the general black

is very large. There are many ways to visit. The management of scenic spots is relatively in place. Accommodation can be stayed in the villages around the core scenic spot, and there are many choices. Excursions can be taken by boat, by car and, of course, on foot. On sunny days with spring breezes, it's really pleasant to walk. It is recommended to go to Le Shui Cave for a bird's-eye view of Puzhehei, and then go down to the Falling Water Cave to watch the sunset. It's really beautiful. If you have the opportunity, you can stay in it for a few more days and spend time leisurely.

7. Yuanyang

Yuanyang Terraces have several terraces such as Laoyingzui, Bada, Duoyishu, Aichunlan, Azheke, and Laoyingzui, each with its own characteristics. You need to buy a ticket to enter the scenic spot. In fact, this ticket is only used for two observation decks: Bada Terraces and Duoyishu Terraces. One watches the sunset and the other watches the sunrise. And you can only enter once. There was originally a tiger's mouth terrace, which was closed due to the collapse. When we arrived at the terraced fields, we happened to catch up with Bada to watch the sunset. The parking lot was full of cars, the viewing platform was crowded, full of long guns and short cannons, we could only squeeze in and take a few looks, more than 3,000 terraces glowed with golden light under the sunset, although it was really spectacular, but it was really not a taste to be crowded.

Early the next morning, I went to Duoyishu for sunrise, and it was still crowded, but fortunately, the viewing platform was divided into several floors, big enough, not too crowded.

Azheke and Aichunlan are relatively close. The eagle's mouth is relatively far away, passing through a messy town, and there is a narrow road.

If you want to watch the sunset, there is a viewing place on the way to the Qingkou Terraces next to the Bada Terraces. You can see the same effect as the Bada Terraced Observation Deck, which is free! Yuanyang Terraces, only by looking at them do you know what is spectacular. To look at the terraces, one is to be in the irrigation season, and the other is at sunrise or sunset.

8. Jianshui

Yuanyang to Jianshui, generally take two roads: one takes a section of the Tianhou Expressway, which requires a detour; The other one is G245. We took the G245, and there was no high-speed throughout the process. The experience is that it is not as difficult to walk as the locals in Yuanyang say, just climb a few mountains.

For us, Jianshui is just passing by in a hurry. I saw the Shuanglong Bridge and Zhujia Garden. The Shuanglong Bridge is beautiful. The Zhu family garden is not big, it should be good, but the surrounding skyline is all destroyed.

9. Fuxian Lake

The three major lakes in Yunnan, Dianchi Lake, Erhai Lake and Fuxian Lake. To put it bluntly, Fuxian Lake is our country's largest water storage lake, the largest plateau deep-water lake, and the second deepest freshwater lake (the deepest freshwater lake in our country is Kanas Lake). With the rise of vacation tourism, countless holiday apartments, hotels, restaurants have been developed around the lake. We chose a first-line lake view vacation apartment. Sure enough, the invincible lake view. The lake water is blue and clear.

Due to overdevelopment, there are many unfinished buildings around the apartment we live in. And the huge holiday apartment we live in only has a few lights at night.

There are many scenic spots around Fuxian Lake, and we went to Luchong Scenic Area. This is a national 4A-level scenic spot. The scenic spot is very large, backed by mountains and facing the lake, and shady by ancient trees. There are Beacon Hill, ancient banyan trees, and many amusement projects. There are everything in it for dining, accommodation, and tourist shops. It's just that it's not the peak season yet, and it's not a weekend, so there aren't many tourists.

10. Kunming

On March 18, I returned to Kunming. Before entering Kunming City, I stopped by Laoyuhe Wetland Park. Mainly want to see tulips. But thank you. There are many wetland parks built next to Dianchi Lake, about a dozen. It is unlikely that you will visit them all by one.

In Kunming, we did not go to the popular Xishan, Jindian Park, and Daguanlou Park. Instead, Haigeng Park and Kunming Botanical Garden were chosen. Haigeng Park is a green belt by Dianchi Lake. It is a well-managed attraction in Kunming. Clean. The West Garden of the Botanical Garden was closed, and the camellia in the East Garden was not seen, which was disappointing. However, the Black Dragon Pond Park next door also surprised us a little, and the rhododendrons blooming on the hill did not let us run in vain.

galloping on the land of Yunnan for two weeks, bathing in the sunshine of Yunnan, visiting the mountains and rivers of Yunnan, self-driving tours bring us relaxation and pleasure, Freely.
