At the beginning of 2021, someone kept talking about going to Dali to see seagulls. Thinking about it, it has been more than a year since the outbreak of the epidemic. I haven't been out for a walk. I have been to Yunnan twice. This time I planned to take the big loop line...

Departed at 4am today and took the 7:10am flight to Kunming. After getting off the plane, we went to the eHi airport car rental point to pick up our car at 10:30am. We went straight to Jianshui, the first stop of our trip, and at 2:30am we arrived at the first attraction in Jianshui, the Jianshui Seventeen-Arch Bridge: also known as the Double Dragon Bridge, it is located 5km west of the Jianshui Ancient City and spans the confluence of the Lujiang River and the Tachong River. This ancient bridge was built during the Qing Dynasty and is a famous historical site in Yunnan. The ancient bridge has a total of 17 arches connected to each other, and there is a three-story pavilion on the bridge, which looks ancient and very majestic.
At the Shuanglong Bridge, uncles and aunts were taking photos seriously.
And encountered the Jianshui sightseeing train.
Departing Yuanyang this morning, just after turning off the Qingta Line onto National Highway 323, we had Jianshui's most authentic delicacy, Jianshui Beef Noodles, for 15 yuan (large chunks of beef, beef ribs, and noodles to choose from).
A little before noon, we arrived at the Yuanyang Hani Rice Terraces. Located in the southern part of the Ailao Mountains, they are a masterpiece left by generations of the Hani people. The terraces are stacked layer by layer according to the terrain, creating a truly spectacular sight. The Yuanyang Hani Rice Terraces are mainly composed of four parts: the Jingkou Scenic Area, the Laoyingzui Scenic Area, the Bada Scenic Area, and the Duoyishu Scenic Area.....
The first part of the scenic area is the Jingkou Rice Terraces. Because the Jingkou Hani Folk Village is under maintenance and cannot be entered, after the visit, we went directly back to our accommodation: Yuanyang Ailao Impression B&B.
We had lunch at the B&B and, on the owner's enthusiastic recommendation, set off for the Eagle's Beak Scenic Area at 4 a.m. (I later decided that taking sunset photos at Eagle's Beak would be better than at Bada Rice Terraces, which were too crowded.)
Online descriptions claim that the Bada Rice Terraces are the most magnificent, the largest in area, and the most three-dimensional of the Yuanyang Rice Terraces. But maybe due to the weather, the crowds, etc., I don't think it can compare to the Old Eagle's Beak Rice Terraces. After sunset, we returned to the B&B.
I arrived at the Duoyishu Rice Terraces at 6:30 in the morning to watch the sunrise. It was already packed with people and there was no room to squeeze in. I quickly took a few photos and left. Just after passing the scenic area, I saw a few tourists walking up the slope next to it. After asking, I found out that going down the slope is the photo shooting spot on the other side of the Duoyishu Rice Terraces, and there is no entrance fee. It really has a different scenery at each location...

At 10:30, we drove along the Aiwu section, Geyuan Highway, Kaihe Expressway, and Lumi Expressway to Luoping. I arrived at the rapeseed flower scenic area around 4pm in the afternoon. I saw that the rapeseed flowers on both sides of the road had no flowers left. Most of them had set seeds. I was in a low mood. However, when I went to Laojianshan in the scenic area to watch the sunset, I found a different scenery.....
Today's journey wasn't very far. We slept until 8:30pm and arrived at the Red Soil Autumn Maple Inn at 3pm along the Shantou-Kunming Expressway, the Yimi Expressway, and the Yunnan Central Loop Road. A few guests had booked a local bus to Luoxiagou at 3pm. The landlady was very welcoming and asked us to join the driver: Red Soil Grand View - Millennium Dragon Tree - Luoxiagou Route...
The Red Soil Grand View can be seen on the way to Luoxiagou
The Millennium Dragon Tree is a thousand-year-old fir tree, standing alone on the red soil, ancient and vicissitudes of life.
On the way back to the inn, I passed by Lepu Ao and met an old man smoking and a sheep...
Back to the inn at 6 o'clock, parked the car at the inn, and walked to the Waliang House to watch the sunset.

We went to Qicaipo to watch the sunrise at 6:30 am, but it was overcast and the clouds were too thick. The sun only peeked out a little after 8 am. A viewing platform is under construction at Damakan. At 9 am, we drove along the Yunnan Central Ring Expressway, the Hangzhou-Ruili Expressway, and the Dali Expressway to Lijiang Old Town.
The Dayan Ancient Town in Lijiang at night is still the same old town, too crowded and too commercialized. It took a long time to take a photo. I didn’t even want to pick up a camera. I took all the photos with my phone...
In the morning, Lashi Lake Wetland Park is a famous gathering place for migratory birds. Every winter, more than 20,000 migratory birds spend the winter here. Lashi Lake covers an area of 5,330 hectares and is 2,437 meters above sea level. It is a wetland with abundant water and beautiful grass. The lakeside is covered with lush grass and there are schools of fish and shrimp in the water. The environment is very beautiful. By the time we visited, most of the migratory birds had already flown away...
Go north from Lijiang Old Town for about four kilometers to reach Shuhe Ancient Town. Shuhe Ancient Town is a well-preserved important market town on the Ancient Tea Horse Road. Its neat streets are unlike the hustle and bustle of Lijiang.....
It's also a great place for taking wedding photos. I've already been a wedding photographer there, and this time I came back...
Sleep until 9:00 AM, check out and return to Dali. Dali can be summed up in four words: "wind, flowers, snow, moon." The wind refers to the wind in Xiaguan; the flowers refer to the flowers in Shangguan; the snow refers to the snow on Cangshan Mountain; and the moon refers to the moon over Erhai Lake.....
Someone bought clothes for today's photo shoot specifically because he worked as a wedding photographer for someone else yesterday.....
The arrival of seagulls adds to the beauty, while sunlight shimmers on the lake.
Someone finally saw the seagull he had missed for a long time...
Guest photographer again...
Continue to Jiyi Pumping Station
I slept until I woke up naturally this morning. This 2,300-kilometer journey is about to end. Someone's wish has come true. I am grateful to have you all with me all the way.
