Early this morning, I hired a car and made a special trip to visit several villages in Weichuan.

The cauliflower in the Weishan basin has turned yellow.

This type of earthen kiln was also quite common in the suburbs of Shanghai in the early years. The farm where I used to work even had a kiln factory.

This traditional village has been carefully preserved, as most of its inhabitants have relocated to new settlements.

It is unclear whether the niche is dedicated to the God of Land or the Goddess of the Well.

The large temple to the west. I initially thought it was a large temple, but as I drove up the dirt road, I saw a complex of Confucian, Buddhist, and Taoist temples, standing side by side, towering and overlapping, almost completely filling the entire mountaintop.

How many temples are there? Tall and low, large and small, lined up in a row, countless.

It's said that usually there aren't many people here, but today I happened to be on an auspicious day. Was it a ritual or a Taoist ceremony?

The mountain road was filled with believers from all over the place.
