The Liu Shaoqi Exhibition Hall in Kaifeng, located at No. 10 Beitu Street, Kaifeng City, Henan Province, was built in 1928 and retains the original appearance of the Tongheyu Silver Bank. The hall, oriented west-facing and east-facing, is a three-story complex with a courtyard. It is a typical modern architecture that blends Chinese and Western styles, covering a total area of ​​879 square meters. Chairman Liu Shaoqi died there. Six display cases within the hall showcase Chairman Liu Shaoqi's medical records, a nasogastric tube, a letter of introduction for cremation, a cremation registration card, an urn, a certificate of urn deposit, a hospital bed, bedding, pillows, oxygen cylinders, a suction pump, an IV tube stand, medicine cabinets, and urinals. On September 25, 2000, the Henan Provincial Government designated the site of Liu Shaoqi's death a nationally protected key cultural relic.

The Liu Shaoqi Exhibition Hall in Kaifeng (where Chairman Liu Shaoqi died) is housed in the Tongheyu Bank, originally built by Wang Manqing in 1928. The bank collapsed in 1933 and was renamed the Henan Provincial Bank, and later the Henan Agricultural and Industrial Bank. During the Japanese occupation, the city government was established here, and after Japan's surrender, it was returned to the Henan Provincial Bank.

In May 1948, when Kaifeng was first liberated, it served as the Jinan Zhongzhou Bank's joint office in Bian. In October 1948, after its second liberation, it became the seat of the Kaifeng Municipal People's Government. On October 17, 1969, the seriously ill Liu Shaoqi was secretly sent to the facility for "guardianship." He died there unjustly on November 12, 1969.
