I have been researching hotels for a trip I am planning for October next year. Our stay will be at the end of a 5 week road trip (me and my mother) so I am looking for a really relaxing hotel where we can lounge by the pool all day. There seems to be a lot of nice boutique hotels in the area.
However it seems that most places I find are pet friendly and as we are both allergic I am not sure of if this would work. I assume the rooms are cleaned between guest, but still there might be issues with dogs/pets around and lingering hair.
I am wondering if someone can either recommend a nice place that is pet free or if you can ease my mind that it perhaps won’t be an issue?
What we are looking for:
Adults only
Nice pool area with comfortable beds/chairs
Ideally breakfast/lunch available on site
Mediterranean style/lush gardens
Bonus with private patio/balcony
Downtown area
No allergic reactions :)
Finding a non-pet-friendly boutique hotel in Palm Springs can be a bit challenging since many of the stylish, smaller properties do allow pets. However, there are several options and strategies to ensure a relaxing, allergy-friendly stay, especially for adults looking to lounge by the pool and enjoy lush surroundings.
First, it’s important to note that even pet-friendly hotels typically perform thorough cleaning between guests, and many will vacuum, launder, and sanitize rooms. Still, for those with allergies, a hotel that explicitly does not allow pets can offer peace of mind.
Recommended non-pet-friendly or adults-only boutique-style hotels in Palm Springs:
If a property is technically pet-friendly, you can often request a room that has not hosted pets for extra precaution. Additionally, scheduling your stay early in the week may mean fewer guests with pets in common areas like the pool.
Other tips for an allergy-safe stay:
Overall, properties like L’Horizon Resort & Spa and La Serena Villas provide the boutique, luxurious, adults-only atmosphere with Mediterranean gardens and relaxing pool areas while effectively minimizing the risk of allergic reactions from pets.
