Hotel suggestions please

Hi All!

We will be staying one night in Fort Lauderdale before our cruise and one night after. It can be the same hotel or two different ones. We love the beach, relaxing by a nice pool, renting bikes or walking around. Any recommendations on where to stay?? If we decide to venture from the pool or beach, is there anything we should try to do or see? Thank you!!

For a short stay in Fort Lauderdale before and after your cruise, there are several excellent hotel options that cater to beach lovers and those who enjoy relaxing poolside or exploring the area by foot or bike.

Here are some top suggestions for hotels:

  • The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale: Luxurious beachfront property with a large pool, spa, and excellent service. Perfect for relaxing by the beach or pool. Walking distance to shops and dining along Las Olas Boulevard.
  • B Ocean Resort: Fun, modern beachfront hotel with direct beach access, a pool with cabanas, and bike rentals available. Offers easy access to Fort Lauderdale’s restaurants and nightlife.
  • Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach: Comfortable, moderately priced hotel on the beach with pool access. Good for a mix of relaxation and exploring nearby areas.
  • Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort: Right on the beach with multiple pools and direct access to the promenade. Great for biking or walking along the coast.
  • W Fort Lauderdale: Stylish option with ocean views, pool, and easy walking access to restaurants and the beach. Known for modern amenities and vibrant atmosphere.

If you decide to venture beyond the pool or beach, there are a few activities and sights worth checking out:

  • Stroll along Las Olas Boulevard for boutique shopping, art galleries, and a variety of restaurants.
  • Rent bikes or scooters to explore the beachfront promenade and local neighborhoods.
  • Visit Bonnet House Museum & Gardens for a historic and scenic experience right near the beach.
  • Take a water taxi or small boat tour of Fort Lauderdale’s extensive canals for a unique view of the city’s “Venice of America.”
  • Enjoy fresh seafood at local spots such as 15th Street Fisheries or Sea Watch on the Ocean.

Overall, staying near the beach will maximize relaxation, but Fort Lauderdale also offers convenient options for a short excursion, bike ride, or casual stroll with plenty of scenery and local charm.
