Weather in February
Hi.
We are coming to Palm Beach from the UK in February for a 11 night holiday. I’m starting to think about what to pack. I know you can’t predict the weather so far in advance, but what is it usually like? Will shorts be okay or will we need some warmer clothes?
Hi! Traveling to Palm Beach in February is generally a very pleasant experience in terms of weather. February falls in Florida’s dry season, so you can usually expect mild, comfortable temperatures with relatively low humidity compared to the summer months.
Here’s a general idea of what the weather is typically like:
- Daytime temperatures: Usually range from the mid-70s°F to low 80s°F (around 24–28°C), which is warm enough for shorts, t-shirts, and light summer clothing.
- Evening temperatures: Can be cooler, typically in the mid-50s to mid-60s°F (13–19°C). A light sweater, cardigan, or jacket is handy for evenings, especially if you plan to be out near the coast where it can feel breezier.
- Rainfall: February is one of the drier months in Palm Beach, so heavy rain is uncommon. Occasional light showers can occur, so packing a small umbrella or light rain jacket is optional but useful.
- Sun protection: Even in February, the sun can be strong. Pack sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat for daytime activities outdoors.
Suggested packing tips for your 11-night stay:
- Shorts, light t-shirts, and casual daytime outfits for exploring, beach visits, or walking around town.
- A couple of long-sleeve tops or lightweight sweaters for cooler evenings.
- Comfortable shoes for walking, plus sandals or flip-flops for the beach/pool.
- Light jacket or windbreaker for evenings or occasional breezy conditions.
- Swimwear if you plan to use pools or go to the beach.
- Optional: casual dress or collared shirt for nicer dinners or evening outings.
Overall, February in Palm Beach is very comfortable for travel. Shorts and summer attire will be fine for most of the day, but bringing a few layers for evenings and early mornings will ensure you’re comfortable throughout your stay.
