Hamilton at the Smith Center

I plan on seeing the show in May. Can anyone who has been to the Center tell me what they consider the best seats for seeing a show like this? I am considering Orchestra left or right but am certainly open to suggestions. Tickets aren't available on the official website (of course) so I'm having to use Stub Hub and will end up paying over $700 with the add-on fees. Highway robbery, I know, but I really want to see this show. Thank you in advance for any hints, suggestions, recommendations, etc.

It's exciting that you're planning to see *Hamilton*! The Smith Center in Las Vegas is a beautiful venue, and seeing a show like this there is definitely worth it. Here are a few tips for getting the best seats to make the most of your experience:

  • Center Orchestra: If you're looking for the best overall view and acoustics, seats in the center of the orchestra are the prime spots. These seats give you a clear, head-on view of the stage, and you'll have a great vantage point for all the action. Rows 10-20 in the center section tend to be the sweet spot, providing a balanced view of the entire stage.
  • Orchestra Left or Right: While the center orchestra is ideal, sitting on the left or right side of the orchestra can still provide a great experience. Just be aware that you might be slightly off-center, which could affect your view of the stage. If you opt for these seats, sitting a bit closer to the center (around rows 10-15) can help minimize any obstruction.
  • First Balcony: If you're considering sitting a little further back, the first balcony can offer an elevated view of the stage. It's still quite close to the action and provides a more expansive view of the entire production, which is great for a show like *Hamilton* that has a lot of movement. Rows A-D in the first balcony are usually the best.
  • Seats to Avoid: Generally, you might want to avoid the very last rows in the orchestra and balcony sections, as they can feel distant from the action. Also, the side seats in the farthest left or right corners of the orchestra or balcony sections can sometimes have limited views due to the angle of the stage.

Regarding your ticket situation with StubHub, it’s unfortunate that the official tickets are sold out, but your enthusiasm for the show is clear! Just be sure to double-check the seat location and view before purchasing to ensure you're getting the best experience for the price. If you're paying a premium for the tickets, it may be worth considering slightly higher-priced seats that offer better sightlines and acoustics.

Enjoy the show—*Hamilton* is an unforgettable experience, and the Smith Center will definitely make it a memorable one!
