Hotels near Atlanta International

Hello.

I'll have an overnight overlay at ATL, both inbound and outbound flights go international. KLM (inbound carrier) tells me I'm on Terminal 1. Delta (outbound) tells me Terminal TBD. ATL makes it very hard to find useful information on locations, shuttles etc. Any recommendations on Hotels in reach?

Thanks!

If you're looking for convenient hotels near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), there are several options that offer easy access to the terminals and provide shuttles to and from the airport. Since your inbound flight is with KLM (arriving at Terminal 1), and your outbound flight is with Delta (Terminal TBD), you'll likely be moving between terminals, so staying at a hotel that offers free or affordable shuttle services to the airport is key. Here are a few recommendations for hotels close to ATL:

  • Atlanta Airport Marriott: This hotel is one of the closest to the airport and offers a free 24-hour shuttle service to all terminals. It’s a comfortable choice if you're looking for a convenient and upscale option. They also have a restaurant and bar, which is great if you're looking for a place to relax before your flight.
  • Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway Hotel: Located just outside the airport, this modern hotel offers a 24-hour shuttle service and is connected to the SkyTrain, making it easy to access the terminals. It’s a well-reviewed hotel with amenities like a fitness center and a restaurant, and it’s perfect if you need quick access to the airport while also enjoying some luxury.
  • Hyatt Place Atlanta Airport South: This is another solid option, offering a free airport shuttle that runs frequently throughout the day. It’s a bit more affordable than some of the higher-end hotels, but it still offers spacious rooms and modern amenities, including an outdoor pool and fitness center.
  • DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Atlanta Airport: A short distance from the airport, the DoubleTree offers a free 24-hour shuttle service to the terminals. It’s known for its comfort and service, and you’ll receive the signature warm cookie at check-in. The hotel also has an on-site restaurant and a bar, perfect for relaxing after a long flight.
  • SpringHill Suites by Marriott Atlanta Airport Gateway: This hotel is another convenient and affordable option, offering complimentary shuttles to ATL. It’s close to the airport and provides a modern, well-equipped suite for a comfortable stay. There’s also a fitness center and free breakfast, which is a nice perk.

Since you’ll be flying internationally, you might also want to check if your airline provides any special lounges or amenities at the airport, especially for your inbound KLM flight. Keep in mind that Atlanta's terminals are interconnected, so getting from one terminal to another for your outbound Delta flight should be relatively easy. Many of these hotels are also near public transport or rental car options, so you’ll have flexibility depending on your plans.

Finally, if your schedule allows for a quick exploration of the area, there are some good restaurants and shopping options near the hotels, especially around the Gateway Center area. Just make sure to account for traffic and airport security times if you’re heading back to the airport for your outbound flight.

Safe travels, and enjoy your stay in Atlanta!
