Grand Canyon North
We will be staying in the Grand Canyon North Rim Lodge the end of September. Does anyone know when reservations will open for dinner in the restaurant? When I try to book it just says not booking that far in advance.
Thank you.
The Grand Canyon North Rim Lodge is a seasonal facility that typically operates from mid-May through mid-October. Because of this, restaurant reservations are not available year-round and are generally opened in alignment with the lodge’s operating season.
For dinner reservations at the North Rim Lodge restaurant:
- Reservations usually open in the late winter or early spring (around February or March) for the upcoming summer and fall season.
- The exact date can vary each year, so it’s best to monitor the official Grand Canyon Lodges website or contact the North Rim Lodge directly for the most accurate timing.
- Until the reservation window opens, online booking tools may display “not booking that far in advance,” which is standard.
Additional tips to secure a table:
- If your travel dates are at the end of September, which is toward the tail end of the North Rim season, consider making reservations as soon as they open because the lodge can fill up quickly.
- Alternative options include early breakfast or lunch at the lodge, which may have more flexible availability than dinner.
- Check with the lodge directly by phone for any last-minute openings or cancellations if your desired date doesn’t show online availability.
In summary, you’re not seeing the ability to book dinner yet because the reservation window hasn’t opened. Keep checking in late winter/early spring and plan to book as soon as the window opens for your late September stay.
