Day Tickets Disney and Universal Studios

Hi All,

Me and the wife are off to Orlando in September for 2 weeks. We wanted to go back to Disney and Universal just to see what I couldn’t remember when I last went there 30 odd years ago!!

Was looking to see day ticket prices for that time of year and I couldn’t even see they was selling them on the main website!! Looked at these ticket companies and I don’t wholeheartedly trust there prices so if anyone has any info that would be much appreciated

Cheers

J

For visiting Disney World and Universal Studios in Orlando in September, purchasing day tickets is definitely possible, though the official websites often require selecting specific dates and ticket types, which can make it seem like tickets aren’t “on sale.” Both Disney and Universal have dynamic pricing, meaning ticket costs vary depending on the day you visit.

Here’s an overview:

  • Disney World: Tickets are sold by date, and a standard 1-day, 1-park ticket in September typically ranges from around $109 to $159 per adult, depending on the park and day. Kids’ tickets (ages 3–9) are slightly lower.
  • Universal Studios Orlando: 1-day, 1-park tickets in September are usually around $109–$129 for adults and $104–$124 for children. Universal also offers 2-park tickets (Universal Studios + Islands of Adventure) for a higher price.

Tips for purchasing and planning:

  • Buy directly from the official websites (Disney World and Universal Orlando) to avoid potential scams from third-party vendors.
  • Check the “Park Reservations” for Disney as you need both a ticket and a reservation for the park on a specific day.
  • Consider multi-day tickets if you plan to visit multiple parks; they are generally more cost-effective than buying separate single-day tickets.
  • Authorized resellers like Undercover Tourist or Orlando Tix sometimes offer legitimate discounts, but always verify their reviews and ensure they are official partners.
  • Download the official apps for Disney and Universal. They provide real-time ticket availability, pricing, park hours, and ride wait times, which is very useful for planning.

September is generally less crowded due to back-to-school season, so you may find better availability and slightly lower prices compared to peak summer months.
