Follow up to Las Vegas with kids post!!

First, thank you all for the great feedback on my last post.

We've looked at another option for the hotel....Red Rock Hotel & Casino. We are going for 4 nights. Plan do to Blue man group and MJOne on the strip... that's it. We've already been to hershey world and the arcade at NyNy. Other days would be for swimming and a hike at red rock and drive to Hoover Dam.

So thoughts on Red rock hotel for family with 2 kids (10 & 7). Pool looks fine.... Anyone stay there before?

Any and all feedback welcomed!! 🙌

The Red Rock Hotel & Casino is a great choice for families, especially with young kids. Located off the Strip, it offers a more relaxed atmosphere with plenty of amenities that can be appealing to families. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Family-Friendly Pool: The pool area at Red Rock is excellent. It has a large, resort-style pool with a lazy river, which your kids will love. There's also a kid-friendly splash area, making it perfect for younger children.
  • Activities for Kids: While not on the Strip, Red Rock has enough to keep your kids entertained. The resort has a bowling alley, a movie theater, and even a play area. If you prefer to stay in, there's still plenty to do without leaving the hotel.
  • Convenience to Nature: Red Rock Canyon is just a short drive away and provides a fantastic opportunity for a family-friendly hike. You can enjoy the stunning views and take part in easy-to-moderate trails. It's a great break from the busy Strip.
  • Drive to Hoover Dam: Since you're planning to visit the Hoover Dam, the Red Rock location is ideal. It's far enough away from the Strip to offer peace and quiet but close enough to drive to landmarks like the Hoover Dam, which should take about 45 minutes by car.
  • Dining Options: The Red Rock Hotel offers a variety of dining options, including kid-friendly spots. You’ll find everything from casual eateries to fine dining, so there should be something to satisfy everyone's tastes.

Overall, the Red Rock Hotel & Casino is highly recommended for families, and the combination of the pool, outdoor activities, and proximity to natural attractions like Red Rock Canyon and Hoover Dam makes it a great option. However, if you’re looking to be closer to the main Strip attractions, you may want to consider the location trade-off, as it’s a bit further from places like Hershey’s World or the arcades at NYNY.

As for your planned activities like Blue Man Group and MJOne, they’re both fantastic shows, and the kids will love them! Enjoy your trip, and feel free to ask if you have more questions!
