4 Days At Disneyland First Trip Accomodation Help

Hi Everyone

We are doing our first trip to disneyland 4 days worth of hopper passes. We wont have a car and will probably do a day of rest after the hectic four days.

1adult 1 8yr old. Mid Level Price Budget, we need a hotel with decent food buffets maybe any tips? Thanks

For a first-time Disneyland trip with 4 days of park hopping, staying close to the parks without a car is ideal. Anaheim has a wide range of mid-level hotels that cater to families and offer convenient access to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.

Here are some key points to consider:

1. Location: Staying within walking distance of Disneyland is highly recommended if you won’t have a car. This allows for easy mid-day breaks, which are especially helpful with an 8-year-old. Most hotels within a 10–15 minute walk will give you access to Downtown Disney for dining and entertainment as well.

2. Hotel Amenities: Since you’re looking for mid-level options with buffet-style dining, look for hotels that have breakfast included or on-site restaurants with a buffet. This can simplify mornings before hitting the parks and can save both time and money.

3. Transportation: Even without a car, many hotels provide shuttle services to Disneyland, though walking is often easier if you stay very close. Consider whether you want amenities like a pool for your child to enjoy during the rest day.

4. Budget & Comfort: Mid-range hotels typically provide comfortable rooms, some with two beds or a suite layout. If you want to stay for multiple nights, consider a hotel that offers spacious rooms or suites for a more relaxed stay.

Here are some recommended options:

  • Best Western Plus Park Place Inn & Mini Suites – Right across the street from Disneyland, some rooms with mini-fridges, and a simple breakfast area. Easy walking access.
  • Howard Johnson by Wyndham Anaheim Hotel & Water Playground – Family-friendly with a pool and water features, short walk to Disneyland, breakfast buffet available.
  • Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance – Walking distance to Disneyland, on-site dining, breakfast options, and a pool for downtime.
  • Desert Palms Hotel & Suites – Suites with kitchenettes, family-friendly, pool, and within walking distance to Disneyland.

Additional Tips:

  • Book Early – Rooms near Disneyland fill up fast, even for mid-level hotels, so secure your stay as soon as possible.
  • Plan for Rest Day – Use your day off to enjoy the hotel pool, Downtown Disney, or a quieter attraction to avoid burnout.
  • Dining Reservations – Some on-site restaurants allow reservations; consider booking breakfast or dinner at popular spots in Downtown Disney to save waiting time.
  • Pack Snacks and Water – While many hotels offer buffet breakfast, having snacks and water on hand for park days keeps your day smoother with a child.

By staying close to the parks with a mid-level hotel that offers buffet breakfast and family-friendly amenities, you’ll maximize your park time and have a comfortable retreat for breaks and your rest day.
