Pier 60

Just saw that the pier is temporarily closed. Was wondering if the activities at Sunset and booths were also closed? Coming in April

Good question. Yes — even though part of Pier 60 (specifically the fishing pier and bait house) remains closed, the Sunset Celebration and vendor booths in Pier 60 Park are open. Here are the details:

  • Pier 60 is currently “open up to the bait house,” but the fishing pier portion is still closed for repairs.
  • The nightly Sunsets at Pier 60 Festival is back in action.
  • The festival includes street performers, artisans, and vendor booths in the Pier 60 Park area (not on the pier itself).

So, if you're visiting in April, you should have a good experience: the sunsets celebration, local arts, and crafts are happening as usual (weather permitting), and you can enjoy the views from the open portion of the pier. The full pier for fishing is not usable yet, so just plan accordingly.
