Universal tickets

4 of us are visiting for 7 nights in July below moving further down the coast.

We want to go to universal Inc epic and Kennedy space.

All the sites to purchase tickets are showing 15 days but we’ll only need access for 3/4 days. Other than paying on the gate is there a way to purchase tickets or will it work out as expensive so there’s no point and to just preorder them now?

When planning your visit to Universal Orlando and Kennedy Space Center for 3-4 days, it's important to consider both ticket options and potential savings. Here are some insights for purchasing tickets:

Universal Orlando Tickets:

  • Universal Park Tickets: While most ticket vendors offer multi-day tickets (e.g., 15 days), you can still buy 2-day or 3-day tickets for Universal Orlando. However, the price for tickets directly from the Universal website or authorized sellers (like Undercover Tourist, or AAA) typically works out to be a bit cheaper if bought in advance compared to buying at the gate.
  • Multi-Park Passes: If you plan to visit both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, you may want to consider a multi-park pass. These are usually cheaper than purchasing separate single-day tickets for each park. The 3-day or 4-day passes can be great for maximizing your time if you want to see more of the parks.
  • Special Offers: Look for any special promotions or discounts. Sometimes Universal offers discounts for multi-day tickets or packages that include CityWalk and Volcano Bay. It's worth checking out their official website for any current deals, as they occasionally offer tickets that are valid for fewer days but are still cheaper.
  • Ticket Resellers: Websites like Undercover Tourist or even Costco may have discounted tickets for Universal. These can sometimes be more flexible with the number of days and offer good value compared to purchasing directly from Universal at full price.

Kennedy Space Center Tickets:

  • General Admission: For Kennedy Space Center, tickets are available for a single day. Typically, it’s best to purchase tickets in advance to avoid higher costs at the gate. Buying in advance can also save you time, as you’ll avoid waiting in line.
  • Multi-day Pass: Kennedy Space Center has a 2-day ticket option, but if you only plan on visiting once, the single-day ticket is sufficient for most visitors.

Gate Prices: While buying tickets at the gate is possible, it can be more expensive, especially during peak times like July when crowds are larger. Pre-ordering tickets often gives you a discount and allows you to skip lines, so it's recommended to buy in advance if you can.

In conclusion, while you could technically buy tickets at the gate, it would likely be more expensive and less convenient. Given that you'll be visiting in the summer, pre-ordering tickets for both Universal and Kennedy Space Center can save you money and help you avoid long lines. Look out for discounts or bundled deals to maximize savings!
