Pool cabana?

We are staying at Windsor Island resort this month and I wasconsidering renting a cabana at the Windsor resort Island pool area near the kids splash zone

have three young children.

The price is listed at 225. for the day to reserve, but doesn’t seem to have a lot to offer other than a reserved covered space

one day bed two chairs & a small refrigerator includes for waters for snack bags and a small dessert tray.

not even any chase lounges included

I would like to have a reserve spot

but not sure it’s worth the money, with few amenities, Has anyone done this and would they recommend or not recommend one?

Thank you

Reserving a cabana at Windsor Island Resort can definitely make your day at the pool more comfortable, especially with three young children, but whether it’s worth the $225 depends on what you value most during your stay.

Here’s what the cabana typically offers:

  • Reserved shaded area near the pool, ensuring you have a guaranteed spot close to the kids’ splash zone.
  • One day bed and two chairs for lounging comfortably.
  • Small refrigerator stocked with water, snack bags, and a small dessert tray.
  • Privacy from the crowded pool areas.

What the cabana does not usually include:

  • Extra poolside service such as food or drink beyond the small tray included.
  • Chase lounges or larger daybeds for multiple adults to relax together.
  • Additional amenities like TVs, fans, or personal attendants.

Considerations for families:

  • Having a reserved shaded spot can be very useful with small children, as it gives you a secure, central location and a place to store your belongings.
  • If your family plans to spend most of the day at the pool and splash zone, the convenience may outweigh the cost.
  • If you are only there for short periods or plan to move around the pool, it may feel overpriced for what is essentially a covered area with a small fridge and basic seating.

Recommendation:

If peace of mind, guaranteed seating, and proximity to the splash zone are important for you and your kids, renting the cabana can make your day much more relaxed. However, if you are budget-conscious and don’t mind arriving early to grab lounge chairs, you might skip the cabana and save the money.

Tip: Sometimes, visiting the pool early to claim a good spot can give you a similar experience without the added cost, especially if you bring your own umbrella or shade solution.
