Parking in Rockland in August

Question

Where would be the best place for parking in Rockland for the day? I know how busy it will be so would appreciate any info on convenient parking lots to the town and shore area (2 seniors). We would prefer not to drive around looking for a spot on the streets unless they turn over quite quickly.
