Hotel in Canon City

We will be visiting family in Canon City in August. Can anyone suggest a good place to stay for a few nights that is clean and reasonably priced? Is anyone familiar with the Parkview Inn Motel? Is it a good place to stay? Other suggestions? Does not have to be close to attractions.

Canon City is a small town, so lodging options are limited but there are several clean and reasonably priced places to stay. Many visitors prioritize comfort, basic amenities, and value over proximity to tourist attractions, especially if visiting family.

The Parkview Inn Motel is a local option. Based on reviews and guest feedback:

  • It is considered a budget-friendly motel with basic accommodations.
  • Rooms are generally clean, though some reviewers note that decor is dated.
  • Staff are reported as friendly and helpful, making for a convenient short stay.
  • It is not particularly close to attractions, but that seems fine since your focus is visiting family.

Other options in and around Canon City include:

  • Days Inn by Wyndham Canon City – Offers consistent chain quality, clean rooms, and includes free breakfast. It has a small pool and is suitable for families or solo travelers.
  • Comfort Inn Canon City – Clean, comfortable, with basic amenities, free breakfast, and easy parking. Good reputation for value.
  • Best Western Plus Canon City Inn – Slightly higher-priced, but modern rooms, a pool, and convenient location. Often recommended if you prefer a more updated environment.
  • Super 8 by Wyndham Canon City – Another budget-friendly option with clean rooms and basic amenities.

Tips for booking:

  • Book early for August, as summer can bring more visitors and availability may be limited.
  • Check reviews for recent updates, as small motels can change quality over time.
  • If proximity to restaurants or stores matters, Days Inn or Best Western are better located near main roads and services.

Overall, Parkview Inn is a reasonable, no-frills choice if your priority is cost and basic cleanliness, but if you prefer slightly more modern or amenity-rich accommodations, the Days Inn, Comfort Inn, or Best Western are safer bets.
