Hello please give me your advice!!
From Shanghai I want to go Fenghuang Phoenix ancient town via High Speed Rail (HSR).
Unfortunately, there are only two timetable that is 12:30-ish and arrive at night.
I want to arrive at noon, and there is connecting Train from Shanghai to Hangzhou and then from Hangzhou to Fenghuang, recommended by Trip(dot)com.
I saw that the station in Hangzhou is the same (arrive and depart again): Hangzhou East. Transfer time is 1 hour 11 minutes.
What I want to ask is it okay to take this route? Is the transfer time is enough?
Let me know your answer!
FYI, I depart at 27 June (not peak season).
Yes, the route via Hangzhou East station is a commonly used option for reaching Fenghuang from Shanghai, especially if you want to arrive earlier than the direct high-speed trains allow. A 1 hour 11 minute transfer is generally sufficient for most travelers, as long as you are prepared and aware of the station layout.
Here are some important considerations:
Tips for a smooth transfer:
In summary, a 1 hour 11 minute transfer is workable if you move efficiently and are familiar with the station. Since your travel date is not during peak season, congestion should be moderate, reducing stress. This route is a reasonable choice if you want to arrive in Fenghuang earlier than the direct train option.
