Walks/Hikes - late June

Question

Good morning.

We only have a few hours in Talkeetna and we have done the Jet Boat tour on a previous occasion. Could you tell me how long it would take to ‘stroll at a leisurely pace’ -

Walk across the Railroad Bridge: and the Talkeetna Lake Trail.

Any other suggestions for outdoor ‘adventures’ that doesn’t involve a tour so we are in control of our own ‘time’ would be welcome. Interested in scenery and ‘wild-life’.

Talkeetna is a charming small town and makes for a perfect stop for short walks and wildlife viewing, especially in late June when the weather is generally mild and daylight is long. Late June weather in Talkeetna is generally mild but can be unpredictable, so bring a light waterproof jacket and comfortable walking shoes.
