Waikiki Banyan Parking--still available?
We used this several years ago & it was a nice money saver compared to valet at our hotel.
Is this still an option?
$30/day?
Thanks!
The Waikiki Banyan still offers self-parking, but there have been updates over the past few years regarding availability and rates. It is often still considered a good alternative to hotel valet parking if you’re looking to save money.
Current details:
- Self-parking is generally available for residents and vacation renters, but it can fill up during peak tourist seasons, so early arrival is recommended.
- Rates have increased slightly in recent years. While $30/day was common a few years ago, current daily rates may be closer to $35–$40/day depending on demand and length of stay.
- Monthly or multi-day parking packages may be offered for longer stays, which can provide additional savings.
Tips and considerations:
- Check directly with the Waikiki Banyan management or your vacation rental host to confirm current rates and availability before relying on it.
- Plan for alternative parking options nearby, such as public lots, in case the Banyan garage is full.
- If staying at a hotel in Waikiki, compare the convenience of hotel valet versus Banyan self-parking and factor in the time and effort of walking to your unit.
Overall, Waikiki Banyan remains a viable budget-friendly parking option in the area, but rates and availability fluctuate seasonally, so a quick call ahead is recommended.
