Truist Park
Hello!
What area would you stay if attending a game at Truist Park? We are thinking of coming a day early to go to the aquarium but we would like to stay closer to the area of the game. Thoughts/suggestions :)
If you're attending a game at Truist Park and want to stay closer to the area, there are a few options depending on your preferences for convenience, atmosphere, and proximity to other attractions like the Georgia Aquarium. Here are some areas to consider for your stay:
- Vinings: This neighborhood is just a short drive from Truist Park and offers a quieter, suburban feel with easy access to the stadium. There are several nice hotels in this area, such as the Hilton Garden Inn, and it's only a 5-10 minute drive to the ballpark. Vinings also has some good dining and shopping options, and it’s close to the Chattahoochee River for outdoor activities.
- Downtown Atlanta: If you want to stay closer to the Georgia Aquarium and other downtown attractions, downtown Atlanta is a great choice. While it's a bit farther from Truist Park (about a 15-minute drive), you'll be close to museums, restaurants, and entertainment. Some popular hotels in the area include the Omni Hotel at CNN Center and the Westin Peachtree Plaza. Plus, you’ll have easy access to MARTA if you prefer public transportation.
- Midtown: Midtown is another good option, offering a mix of culture, dining, and proximity to some of Atlanta's best attractions. It’s about a 15-minute drive to Truist Park and around 10 minutes to the aquarium. There are many hotels here, such as the Four Seasons Atlanta and the Marriott Suites Midtown. Midtown is also known for its vibrant arts scene and has plenty of restaurants and bars for dining before or after the game.
- The Battery Atlanta: If you're looking for the most convenient option and want to be as close to the stadium as possible, The Battery Atlanta is the development located adjacent to Truist Park. It features a variety of hotels, restaurants, bars, and shops. Staying here means you'll be able to walk to the stadium and enjoy the lively atmosphere before and after the game. The Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta is one of the top hotel options in the area.
In conclusion, if you want convenience and proximity to the game, staying near Truist Park at The Battery Atlanta or Vinings would be ideal. For more variety in attractions, dining, and accommodations, Downtown or Midtown would be a great choice. All these areas offer easy access to the Georgia Aquarium for the day before the game!
