Ruili Airlines
Hi, On of the domestic flights i'm looking at has a longer connection time but the 2nd flight is with Ruili Airlines who on Trip Advisor dont have the best reviews. Does anyone have any recent experience as to how reliable they are?
Thanks
Ruili Airlines is a smaller domestic carrier in China, and its reputation online, including TripAdvisor and other review sites, is mixed. Some travelers report satisfactory experiences, while others note issues with punctuality and customer service.
Reliability and Considerations:
- Punctuality: Ruili has had reports of occasional delays. These are not necessarily frequent, but because it is a smaller airline, it may have fewer resources to recover from delays quickly.
- Customer Service: Reviews indicate that English-speaking support may be limited, so non-Mandarin speakers could face communication challenges if issues arise at the airport.
- Check-in and Baggage: The airline generally has standard check-in procedures, but it is advisable to arrive early. For tight connections, be aware that missed connections may require self-arranged alternatives, as Ruili may not have extensive interline agreements with other carriers.
- Aircraft and Comfort: Many of the planes are domestic single-aisle aircraft, and seat comfort is standard. Expect basic services and minimal in-flight amenities.
Recent Experience Tips:
- Travelers suggest allowing a longer connection time if your second flight is with Ruili, to accommodate potential delays or slower check-in processes.
- Check the airport terminal layout in advance; some Ruili flights operate from smaller terminals with limited facilities.
- Have your itinerary printed and electronic copies of tickets and boarding passes, as airport counters may be crowded and support limited.
- Consider travel insurance or flexible arrangements if your journey depends on a tight connection involving Ruili Airlines.
In summary, Ruili Airlines can be used safely for domestic travel, but it is wise to plan for extra buffer time, particularly for connections. Many travelers fly them without major issues, but limited support and occasional delays are the main points to consider.
