Monday November 24, 2025

My Wife and I will be in Temecula for 24 hrs, staying downtown on Monday November 24th for one night.

Will the Wineries be open on Monday?

What should we do? Any must see suggestions?

Thank you

Temecula is a charming wine country destination, even if you only have 24 hours. Visiting on a Monday, November 24th, most wineries are open, but hours may be shorter than on weekends, so it’s a good idea to check each winery’s website or call ahead. Many tasting rooms open around 11am and close by 5 or 6pm.

For a short visit, focusing on a few key wineries and downtown experiences will make your day more enjoyable without feeling rushed.

  • Wineries: Consider visiting 2–3 wineries in the Temecula Valley Wine Country. Popular options include Wilson Creek Winery (known for almond champagne), Ponte Winery (great views and food), and South Coast Winery (larger estate with tastings and tours). Plan your route to minimize driving between vineyards.
  • Lunch or Wine Pairing: Many wineries have on-site restaurants or picnic areas. You could enjoy a wine and food pairing at one of the larger estates like South Coast or Ponte.
  • Old Town Temecula: Spend some time exploring historic Old Town Temecula. It has charming streets lined with shops, art galleries, and antique stores. If your visit falls on the day before Thanksgiving, some shops and restaurants may have special hours, so check ahead.
  • Optional Experiences: If you enjoy a light adventure, consider a hot air balloon ride in the morning for breathtaking views of the vineyards and surrounding hills. These typically operate early and can be booked in advance.

Additional tips:

  • Start your day early to maximize winery visits and Old Town exploration.
  • Consider booking wine tastings in advance to ensure availability, especially on a holiday week.
  • Wear comfortable shoes for walking in Old Town and on winery grounds.
  • Keep an eye on local Thanksgiving week events or seasonal tastings, as some wineries offer special experiences.

With careful planning, you can enjoy a mix of wine tasting, scenic views, and a bit of local culture within your 24-hour visit to Temecula.
