Hotel rec for girls weekend - Dec 2025

Hi,

Looking at hotels to book a quick 3 day weekend in Miami Beach either the first or second week of December.

We have it narrowed down to either The Sands, Kimpton Beachcomber, Sagamore, or Loews.

For context, we definitely want beachfront/chair and umbrella service (which I’m pretty sure they all have).

Want a rather low key vibe, not too party crazy, and doesn’t have to be adults only, but not overran with families/young kids.

Clean, not outdated, and not currently under construction.

We won’t have a car so parking is a non issue, would be nice to be within walking/biking distance to the main strip but don’t mind taking short Ubers. And I’m assuming none of these hotels have complimentary shuttles from MIA, but correct me if I’m wrong?

Thanks!

For a girls’ weekend in Miami Beach in early December 2025, all four of the hotels you’ve shortlisted—The Sands, Kimpton Surfcomber, Sagamore, and Loews—offer beachfront access with chair and umbrella service, but they each have distinct vibes and amenities that could influence your choice.

Hotel Options:

  • The Sands: A boutique-style, smaller hotel with a relaxed, low-key atmosphere. Perfect if you want a quieter, more intimate beach experience. Rooms are generally updated and clean, though it’s not as flashy as some of the bigger properties. Close enough to the main strip for walking or short rides.
  • Kimpton Surfcomber: Known for its vibrant yet sophisticated vibe. It has a social pool scene but not overwhelmingly party-focused. The rooms are stylish and modern, with direct beach access. It is centrally located, making it easy to walk or bike along Ocean Drive.
  • Sagamore: An Art Deco gem with a slightly more upscale and artsy feel. The property is quiet and elegant, perfect for a low-key girls’ trip. The beachfront is private, with attentive service. Walking distance to some restaurants and shops, though slightly further north compared to the main hub of South Beach nightlife.
  • Loews Miami Beach: Larger resort with comprehensive amenities, including pools and beach service. The vibe is more polished and mainstream, family-friendly but with plenty of adult appeal. It has direct beach access and is very close to Lincoln Road and South Beach attractions.

Additional Considerations:

  • All these hotels provide direct beach access with chair and umbrella service, so that box is checked for your group.
  • None of these properties typically offer complimentary airport shuttles from MIA, so you would likely need to arrange a taxi, rideshare, or private transfer. Some hotels may help organize private shuttles at a fee.
  • For low-key vibes without too many families or rowdy crowds, The Sands or Sagamore might be your best choices, whereas Loews is larger and can feel busier, and Kimpton has a slightly more energetic poolside atmosphere.
  • All properties are well-maintained and should not be under construction in December 2025, but it’s always wise to confirm directly with the hotel before booking.

Overall, for a quiet, stylish getaway without needing a car, The Sands or Sagamore would suit your preference for low-key, clean, and centrally located accommodations. If you enjoy some social energy but still want a refined experience, Kimpton Surfcomber is a solid middle ground, while Loews is ideal if you prefer a full-service resort with extensive amenities.
