Review of Chula 100-Year Park, the lung in the heart of Bangkok

Review of Chula 100-Year Park – a lung in the city center that is easy to walk, comfortable to sit, suitable for all ages

Chula 100-Year Park is located near Sam Yan, opposite Chamchuri Square, about a 5-minute walk from Sam Yan MRT. It is a simple public park but fully functional, with running tracks, walkways, cycling paths, lawns, and a fountain zone. There are plenty of large trees providing shade, perfect for walking, exercising, or laying out a mat to rest in a peaceful atmosphere in the middle of the city.

On the day I visited in the evening, there were quite a lot of people, especially runners and people walking their dogs, but it still didn’t feel crowded. The park area is spacious, the fence is safe, with security guards and CCTV coverage throughout. There are clean restrooms and water service points as well.

What impressed me was the quiet, shady atmosphere and many spots to sit and relax, including wooden benches along the path, walkways crossing the water bridge, and spots under large trees. It’s suitable for relaxation for workers, students, and families. Coming alone also feels safe.
