A Must-Stay Hotel in Chengdu!!!

A Deep Dive into the W Chengdu: The Fashionable Choice for Young People

As a college student who loves experiencing luxury hotels, I recently stayed at the W Chengdu. Here are my honest thoughts from various perspectives.

🛌 Amenities/Facilities

The hotel opened in 2020, and the rooms are well-maintained with few signs of aging. The Wonderful Twin Room I stayed in was 48m², which is standard. The room offers views of the Jiazi Avenue cityscape and features standard W-style decor with a focus on light colors and exquisite metal accents in the bathroom. The public areas are very beautiful, with giant decorative pieces in the lobby paired with intricate colors for a strong visual impact, showcasing a unique nightclub vibe. There are many W logos outside the hotel, making it a great place for photo ops. However, the novelty of these stacked elements wears off quickly, and the sense of awe diminishes after a few days.

🏘️ Room Type/Layout

The layout of the Wonderful Twin Room is similar to that of the W Xiamen. The design follows the W brand's decorative style, with a reasonable spatial plan that meets the needs of both living and leisure, effectively separating sleeping and relaxation areas.

💗 Other Tips

1. Hotel Location: Located on Jiazi Avenue, it is about 10 km from attractions such as Wuhou Temple, Jinli Ancient Street, and Du Fu Thatched Cottage, and about 10 km from business districts such as Chengdu Taikoo Li and IFC. It is also close to Chengdu SKP, about 5 km away. The surrounding commercial facilities are complete, with many shopping malls of good quality.
2. Hotel Breakfast: The dining area is large, and the selection of dishes is good, with local Chengdu specialties. The Western food is average, but the tofu pudding in the Chinese section is highly recommended. It is savory with a hint of spice and is very delicious.
3. Hotel Service: The standardized service at the front desk and in the rooms is excellent. The front desk helped upgrade my room when I checked in, and the housekeeping service was fast. However, the concierge service was lacking, as they did not help with luggage or provide guidance during check in and departure. The hotel excels in surprise services. During my stay, it was my birthday, and although I did not mention it in advance, the hotel still sent a cake and a handwritten card, which was a pleasant surprise and very thoughtful. Regular guests also report that from the moment they get out of the car, the bellhops and staff from various departments warmly greet them with "Welcome back," making them feel at home.
