The Japanese house built as a lodging for the Taiwan Governor's Office Forestry Bureau, which prospered with the cypress of Alishan during the Japanese colonial period, has been restored by Chiayi City and opened as a Hinoki Tourist Village.

It is a 20-minute walk from the Taiwan Railway "Chiayi" Station, so it is best to take a bus.
The restored Japanese house on the site of 10,000 tsubo has been turned into a store selling miscellaneous goods, a coffee shop, and a restaurant where you can eat.
