#FukuokaItinerary
Day 1: The History and Present of Urban Finance
Today's itinerary began with the Fukuoka Bank headquarters building. As a symbol of Kyushu's financial center, the building showcases the modernity of the financial industry while retaining a rich sense of history. I visited the bank's exhibition area, learning about the development of Fukuoka Bank and its important role in Kyushu's economy. The old photos and currency in the exhibition halls transported me back to the streets of Fukuoka during the Showa period. In the afternoon, I strolled through the Tenjin shopping district, absorbing the city's bustling atmosphere and stopping at a cafe to savor the city's rhythm.
Day 2: Deeply Experiencing Culture and Nature
On Day 2, I headed to Ohori Park for a morning stroll along the lakeside.
The tranquility of the park and the shimmering waters of the lake were refreshing. I then visited the Fukuoka City Museum to admire Kyushu's rich historical relics, particularly those related to finance and commerce, further reflecting on the banking culture of yesteryear. In the afternoon, I ventured to the Hakata River to experience Fukuoka's rich water culture. As the sun sets, the river shines with orange light, making people marvel at the city’s blend of history and modernity. This marks the perfect end to our two-day exploration.
