The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka|The ultimate enjoyment of a healing hotel

📍Address: 2-6-50 Daimyo, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture

This time when I came to Fukuoka, I just remembered that I still had five suite vouchers that I hadn’t used and were about to expire at the end of the year. So I simply used 74,000 points to redeem a night at The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka, and then used the room vouchers to upgrade to a Hakata Bay view room. Staying on the 20th floor, you can overlook the sea of Fukuoka and enjoy the beautiful view.

The exterior of the hotel is quite low-key, blending in with the surrounding environment. The entrance is inconspicuous, but once you step in and the heavy automatic door behind you closes, it seems as if you are instantly cut off from the outside world. What comes into view is a space full of layers, with light and shadow interlaced, low-key and rich in texture. Later I learned that the hotel's design was inspired by Fukuoka's traditional craft of "weaving". The interior decoration is mainly made of solid wood, combining Japanese simplicity with modern urban feel, creating a quiet space in the bustling city, making people relax as soon as they step in.

Stay Experience
It was already evening when we checked in. Although the Platinum card did not include breakfast, it provided late check-out until 4PM. Breakfast cost about HKD 250 per person. I wanted to try a bakery in Fukuoka the next day, so I didn’t choose to eat in the hotel. The drinking water in the room comes from the Swedish brand Nordaq. The bottle is so design-oriented that I have taken it home to use as a flower arrangement. The amenities are Diptyque, with high-end scents and well-detailed finishes.

Some small details are impressive

• Fruits and ice water will be prepared in the lobby early in the morning for guests who want to go jogging or doing morning exercises. The officially recommended running route is from the hotel to Ohori Park where the Fukuoka Art Museum is located. The scenery along the way should be nice.
• When checking in, there was a dry landscape outside the elevator entrance. The next morning when I went out, I saw someone carefully tidying up the room. Every detail was taken care of.
• When taking the elevator, the hotel staff will bow respectfully at the door to greet you and will not leave until the elevator door closes. This kind of thoughtful service makes people feel particularly heartwarming.
• The flower vases in the elevators are very delicately designed. The floral decorations in each elevator are different, and you can feel the hotel’s attention to detail.

Very convenient location
The Tenshen business district is just downstairs from the hotel, and there are many high-quality restaurants on the second floor of the Daming Garden City next door, so you won’t go wrong with any of them. I left a room card as a souvenir when I checked out this time, but I feel that this will not be my last stay here because the overall experience is really good!
