I am thinking of rope dropping Indiana Jones’s followed by haunted mansion then toon town. We will be there in October on a tier 5 day. Trying to get as much a possible done in one day. So it is my
understanding with Indiana jones if we have a wheelchair we can just enter at the exit so can we skip booking multi pass? If so I will book our first pass for haunted mansion. I am thinking that with it being the holiday version and a very busy day that I should get haunted as early as possible. After this we will have a scooter so I am wondering if it would be better for everyone to walk to toontown or should everyone else take the train and I drive their scooter over? How much time does it take for each? Also I saw in the morning Mickey and Minnie are outside their houses because it is so slow. However we used to love going into their houses at magic kingdom and would love to go inside. Can we still going inside or do we need to wait until they are inside? I also saw that some characters like Mickey are listed as toon town and at the front of the park are they in different costumes? Also we are going to be renting a scooter from Disney I know that it would be cheaper elsewhere but since it is only for one day I do not think it would be worth the extra hassle to get it from outside the park. Do we rent the scooter from inside the park or before we go in? And since we are park hopping does the chair hop with us or do we need to change out when we change parks? Since it is expected to be busy and I am trying to plan as much as possible to make this day as easy as possible. Thanks!
Planning a one-day Disneyland itinerary on a busy Tier 5 day in October requires some strategy, especially when using a wheelchair or scooter. Here’s a detailed breakdown to help you maximize your day.
Indiana Jones Adventure
If someone in your party is using a wheelchair or ECV (scooter), you can indeed use the attraction’s accessible entrance at the exit. This allows you to bypass the standard line, and technically you don’t need to reserve a Lightning Lane (formerly FastPass) for this attraction. However, it can still be crowded, so arriving right at rope drop is recommended to minimize wait time.
Haunted Mansion
Since it’s the Halloween holiday version, Haunted Mansion is very popular in October. Booking a Lightning Lane for the earliest available time is wise. Doing this immediately after Indiana Jones or early in the day ensures you experience it with minimal wait.
Toontown and Scooter Logistics
With a rented scooter or ECV, you have a few options to reach Toontown:
In general, if your group is able, walking is slightly faster than the train for a single short distance.
Mickey & Minnie Houses
In the morning, Mickey and Minnie are often greeting guests outside. If you want to go inside their houses:

General Tips for a Busy Day
With careful planning and strategic use of the accessible entrances and Lightning Lane, you can accomplish a lot in one day even on a busy Tier 5 day.
