Everyone who travels to Hangzhou should visit West Lake, but many people ignore these rare and beautiful hidden gems near the lake. I strongly recommend you to spend a day, avoid the crowds, have a super comfortable and relaxing City Walk, and experience a different secret of West Lake~😊

City Walk Route:

Orioles Singing in the Willows → Wansong Academy → Hupao Park → Li'an Temple → Han Meilin Art Museum

This place is simply a verdant secret place beside the West Lake. The photo-taking spots of the bridge hole and reflection are simply amazing! Hidden in the park, you can easily find it by navigating "Yokogawa Bridge". Standing on the bridge, looking at the green trees and blue sky reflected in the lake, it feels like you are in a fairyland. The lakeside of the park is also very beautiful. You can take a walk while enjoying the scenery of the lake and mountains. It is super comfortable! 🌳✨

Wansong Academy: Let’s go to the White Snake Flying Ferry to take pictures first. The aerial plank road there is super cool, and the atmosphere is even better on rainy days, as if you have traveled through the scenes of "The Legend of White Snake". Then go all the way up to check in at Wansong Academy to experience the quaint cultural charm. ✨

Hupao Park: This is my favorite! The atmosphere of Hupao Park is absolutely amazing! As soon as you walk in, you can feel the inner peace. The water from Hupao Spring is extremely sweet. Many people come here to fetch water and take it home. A sip of it is so refreshing and sweet that it seems to wash away all the fatigue. 🍵

Li'an Temple: Compared to the crowded Lingyin Temple, Li'an Temple is simply a deserted wonderland. It is quaint and peaceful here, without any noise, but only the quiet Buddhist sounds and the company of ancient trees. Here, you can slow down and feel inner peace. 🙏

Han Meilin Art Museum: This art museum hidden in the botanical garden is a treasure! The huge Buddha head sculpture is very artistic and takes great photos. It will definitely make your circle of friends like it! It is recommended to come early to avoid the crowds and enjoy your own art time. 🎨
