Sukiyaki with Black Hair Wagyu in Causeway Bay

Rushing up the crowded streets of Causeway Bay and bursting into this upstairs cafe, I was shocked by their playful fusion dishes the moment I opened the door—Italian pasta and Korean fried chicken actually sharing the same table? Plus, there’s the devilish temptation of a "$28 cake buffet" every Monday to Thursday, truly a "must-eat to satisfy the stomach"!
🍝 Garlic Chili Clam Pasta × Soft Shell Crab: Surf and Turf Supreme
As soon as the pasta arrived, the garlic aroma was so strong that even the Korean Oppa at the next table turned his head to look. The craziest part was the whole palm-sized soft shell crab, fried to a crispy perfection while still bursting with crab roe!
🍔 Carnivore Burger: So Sinful It Should Be Reported
I thought the "Angus beef + spicy fried chicken" combo was just a gimmick, but one bite proved otherwise—the spicy kick of the crispy fried chicken and the buttery aroma of the Angus beef didn’t clash at all; instead, they harmonized like a K-Pop boy-girl group duet! Although the beef was a bit "overworked" (slightly dry), the sauce and pickled radish were full of Korean flavor, balancing everything out.
🍰 Desserts Are Ordinary, But the $28 Cake Buffet Is Worth It
On weekdays from Monday to Thursday, there’s a cake buffet where you can eat unlimited original cheesecake, chocolate cheesecake, matcha cheesecake, and more for just $28 extra. I tried the yuzu yogurt and tiramisu; the taste was decent, the texture smooth, but not outstanding. However, for this price, it’s a good value choice.
🍹 Drinks Were Surprisingly Good
The "Seoraksan Green Grape Milk" was sweet and not greasy, with a prominent green grape flavor; the "Matcha Tofu Latte" had a strong matcha taste and a smooth tofu texture. Both drinks were quite distinctive.
🌃 Atmosphere: A Secret Base for K-Pop Fans
The whole place played SEVENTEEN’s songs, the walls were covered with Korean star fan light sticks, and there was a floor-to-ceiling glass window facing the neon lights of Causeway Bay—though you’re eating Italian pasta, the vibe felt like being in a Hongdae nightclub.
Overall, the food quality was pretty good, especially the pasta and burger which showed some thought, and the environment was comfortable. If you’re passing by on a weekday and want a light lunch or to chill with friends, this is a pretty good choice.
